Do not live here. They turn the water off AT LEAST 2x a month. Turn the gas off randomly. There’s a rat and roach problem. All of my windows are sealed shut, including in the bathroom which has ZERO ventilation. MOLD EVERYWHERE!!! I haven’t had a fire alarm since moving in a year ago and I’ve asked 4x. They don’t have a single staffer on site. Loud -------- music blasting from workers on 6th floor all the time. I’ve had over 50 packages stolen, so even from inside.

building infested with roaches, constant noise and construction , no updates or timeline . Onsite personnel are very nice, management seems to never answer or care to deal with tenants. Location is good but that is about it

To echo a previous review, this place is a dump. I chose PW because I got an amazing deal on a sublease from a long term tenant and since this was my first solo apartment I was psyched as I love the area. I should have looked more closely at what I was about to get myself into. I lived on the first floor which had the lovely view of the brick wall of the building next to us. This is true to pretty much anyone living on the west side of the building until you get to the top floors. I got 0 natural light at all which made the place dark, damp, and depressing. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the elevators are EXTREMELY old and broke down for months at a time. Walls were painted a cheap ugly color mainly to cover up the dime store drywall job. I didn't mind since the rent deal was great and summer time in chicago is awesome no matter what. Fast forward 6 months to when its time to renew my lease the rent increased 20%!! I hate moving so bit the bullet and signed on for another year. Not more than a week later I start to find ROACHES in my apartment. I contact the building manager expecting an exterminator within 24 hours. She replied "Those aren't cockroaches they are water bugs from the sewer. I will see when I can send someone down to take a look." I couldn't believe what I read! I replied that was not acceptable and how she would feel if she had to live in an infested home for a week. Almost begrudgingly she sent an exterminator but time and time again I kept finding them. Enough was enough when I put on my hat before going out only to notice a ROACH IN MY HAT!! I decided taking a chunk from my savings to get out of my lease is what I had to do because the bug issue was never going to get fixed. I moved across the street to 445 Wellington and the difference is night and day!! Trust me stay away from this place you can get much better quality for the same price. The main draw of this place was they were so cheap but that has ended so now it's mainly an overpriced dump in an amazing neighborhood. Pros: A+ location credit card laundry responsive/friendly maintenance Cons: BUGS!!! Little natural light Old, musty smell They won't hesitate to slap a late fee but if you need something from them it's like pulling teeth.

In short, this place is a dump. I lived here for two years and I can't believe I stayed here when I could have lived somewhere in the neighborhood WAY better for the same price. They do clean the building every day, but I saw cockroaches several times in my apartment and in the halls/laundry room. The building is old and tends to have a dampness about it, which made it feel gross often and smell not so great. The apartments are not nice and everything in them is cheap. Additionally, I have 2 small dogs and even though I paid both up-front and monthly dog fees, the building was not very dog friendly. ONE unpleasant older woman complained to me that she didn't like that my dog was running down the hall while on a leash and that I should keep him closer to me. The building manager took her side, probably because they were friends, and sent an e-mail to everyone saying that dog owners should keep their dogs close to them on a lease while walking in the halls. It was ridiculous, especially since my dog didn't even come near this woman. If you're going to be a dog friendly building and charge high pet fees, then be welcoming to dogs rather than indulging the ONE person in the building who doesn't like them. The maintenance staff was good - you have to e-mail the building manager to get maintenance done since I don't think the online request system works. They do promptly take care of it when you have a maintenance issue. Other than that, the location is by far the best and really the only good thing about this place. I moved to a studio about the same size in a MUCH nicer building with amenities just a few blocks away that is the same price. Can't believe I could have been living in a nice building this whole time instead of the dump that is Park Wellington!!!

I lived at Park Wellington for two years and loved the location and intricate details of the apartment. I lived in a small one bedroom with a tiny kitchen and all of my windows faced the brick wall of the building next door, so no light whatsoever, that was my biggest issue. I need light. Management was always great as was the maintenance staff. In the course of 2 years, there were 4 different building managers and all were great and I never saw a single bug the entire time I lived there. I did have numerous mail order packages stolen and the walls are thin, so get a sound machine or wear ear plugs at night to drown out the noise, but its not overly noisy. I have zero complaints about my immediate neighbors, but friends in the building weren't so lucky. I enjoyed my time there, minus the lack of sunlight in my apt, but you can't beat that location and management.

I had recommended my building to a friend and she went online and told me my building had a bad review. Huh? Someone said this was managed by PLANNED PROPERTIES. Not true. This building is owned and managed by a family and Reno is the building engineer who is always on call and responds to everything instantly. Either the competition is dissing my building or someone got the address wrong. I LOVE my apartment and I've recommended it to several friends.

I lived here for 15 months and only moved out because I got a job in another state. Our one bedroom had plenty of space and was reasonably priced. As someone who hates bugs, I can say that they were never a problem for us. The rooftop is priceless, and it's rarely occupied so it was like a second living room. The management staff is so friendly and helpful, and the price was great for the location (close to tons of buses, the lake, Trader Joes, shopping, etc). I would highly recommend that you check this place out.

i've lived here for about 3 months, all of winter so far. MY APARTMENT IS COLDER THEN OUTSIDE! the apartment is small yes but its only 2 people so it's not horrible but the kitchen is smaller then the closet, i dont understand how that makes any sense. the walls, tiles, and carpet were dirty when i moved it. the heaters just stop blowing hot air AT NIGHT. so my apartment is always about 20 degrees. the light in the kitchen flickers constantly. and i have had people walk in without permission and i sleep with a bat so they're lucky. i've had no real problems, no bugs or anything [yet] but if it keeps going this way i will be moving out ASAP. parking is horrible also, at least a block away unless you're looking middle of the day. after 4 o'clock, there will be NOTHING.

My toilet has been leaking since i got there. My sink has been leaking as well. My light does not work in my kitchen. Chuck the regional manager is a jerk. Too much money for small apartments. IMC properties has huge apartments for cheaper. People go in my apartment with out asking. Trying to get out of my lease if corprate will ever call back. They dont do ----!! The door doesnt shut. The gate is always open. The system to let people in is broken. This place is crap. On top of that no one cares!
