Noisy due to partial but continuous renovation. Other issues as well. Lots of folks are being more selective in this area due to the decline of the Mag Mile, so best to be also be selective in your apartment search.

Very noisy -- with their frequent hammerings which is not explained. The location is good and other staff is good but Maintenance is sub-par and not reliable, which can cause frustrations and other issues that can be annoying

We did not realize how noisy this building is until we were forced to work from home due to the pandemic. They seem to be constantly hammering. And what's annoying is they don't provide any communications to tenants about what they are doing. Are they renovating? Fixing something broken? Which would not say much for the competence of the maintenance people, as the noise has been heard on and off for the last several months. The noise can drive you crazy when you are trying to do your work!

Building has sign urging mask wearing but some of the people at the desk in the lobby, where there's TONS of people traffic are not always wearing mask. Practice what you preach! Don't understand the inconsistency!

Building is doing a sub-optimal job to encourage mask wearing. This is very important since people have tested positive for COVD within the building. They cannot legally force selfish people to wear masks but they could still do more.

Living at North water has been absolutely amazing (lived here for over a year). The staff is so kind, impeccable service with maintenance, and the front desk always learns your name/recognized you. It's always so clean and the sound proofing is super quiet between rooms. Amenities are gorgeous with views of both the city and the lake.

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience throughout my application process with North Water Apartments. During this process I was assured with no questions asked the Application Fee would refunded, this was not the case.

Noise, noise, noise. It seems like they are constantly fixing or refixing -- which is hard to fathom when the building is just five or six years old. We've had to listen to seemingly incessant hammering above our heads for God knows how long.

The maintenance team is subpar, and overall maintenance has been deteriorating in recent years. There have been too many issues and problems and things going wrong, causing headaches for tenants and visitors alike.

My significant other and I have been with North Water for going on 9 months now and it is far above many of the other complexes available in the city of Chicago. What really stands out is the staff. From the office staff like DeCarlo and Amy to the front desk staff like KJ to the maintenance staff like Almir and even the receiving room staff like Bella - everyone knows your name and you make sure to know their names equally. The amenities are great and the overall ethos is professional and friendly. I can't get over how quiet it is! While I understand some of the comments about materials used in the construction of the rooms, keep in mind that they are all still very clean and for what you pay for it is terrific - not to mention the views. I think you would be hard pressed to find another complex like this with so much to offer for the price point in Chicago. (Oh - and the connection to the hotel amenities is really wonderful!)
