My roommate and I had a great time living at Dayton Court Apartments. The building management staff was constantly on top of their game! Between their quick responses to problems, their long and convenient office hours, and the ability to have packages safely and securely delivered to the office, all combined to make living at Dayton Court Apartments great. Our particular apartment had a great layout: two bedrooms on opposite ends of the unit with a bathroom, living space, and kitchen in between. We also had ample radiator heat (especially helpful during our most recent "Polar Vortex" winter!). Having secure front and back gates made us feel safe, and the neighborhood in general has everything you could ever want. We had an excellent time living here for two years.

I lived at Dayton Court as my first apartment after college. My two highest needs from an apartment were (1) that I live in a neighborhood near transit and social life and (2) that I live somewhere safe with reliable staff. I worked a job where I was gone most of the day and had to commute everywhere around the city for meetings and events, so these were necessities that Dayton Court Apartments fully met. If you live here, you are within 10 min or less walking distances of the Red, Brown, Purple lines and the 8, 22, 77 buses. This allowed me to have a commute most anywhere (for work or social hanging out) between 30 min to an hour. For pure convenience, you are located directly next door to a 24 hr Walgreens and CVS. There are also dozens of fantastic restaurants from cheap eats like The Clark Street Dog to more expensive venues like ATK (best Thai in the area) or Headquarters Barcade. While you have access to the hustle and bustle of the city, your apartment should be relatively quiet as the courtyard prevents you from facing any direct traffic. I never had any noise complaints from other neighbors and I also had the privilege of a small balcony where I could eat dinner or read after work to relax. The staff of Dayton Court are attentive and quick to respond. The few maintenance issues I had in my 2 1/2 years as a tenant were resolved within the same day I submitted my request. I also appreciated their courtesy of calling in advance for any work visits needed - the management staff obviously care about the building and show it by updating the facilities at no cost to residents (like putting new eco friendly lights and shower heads in every unit or painting the balconies). Having an onsite management office makes paying rent and requesting service easy as pie, even if you're busy, and help was only ever a phone call away when I needed it. I highly recommend Dayton Court Apartments if you're looking for a place to live in Lakeview.

I am happy to review Dayton Court Apartments, and the vintage style 1-bedroom I lived in for 2.5 years. The location is perfect, with everything you need within walking distance (chase, walgreens), public transportation (brown/purple line 2 blocks away, red line 4 blocks + numerous bus routes), plus nearly every restaurant cuisine! Additionally, I always felt safe living in this property and any needs that arose were taken care of in a timely manner. The management was friendly, very approachable, and they clearly took pride in the overall quality & appearance of Dayton Courts. I would highly recommend renting from Dayton Court Apartments!

I am beyond pleased to have the opportunity to review Dayton Court Apartments. I resided in this courtyard complex for 2 years. I began my search for a studio apartment with my priorities being 1. safety, 2. cleanliness/maintenance 3. comfort. Dayton Court provided all these preliminary requirements and more. Being a young female living on her own it was imperative that I feel safe in my home. Dayton was beyond adequate in helping me feel safe with a locked and gated entrance and individual double lock to my studio. The location of Dayton is excellent as well, convenient to any and everything. I recall fondly memories of putting my key in the gate lock to the courtyard and stepping through feeling immediately calm from the bustle of the lively neighborhood. The grounds in the courtyard and throughout the building were well maintained. In fact, I was always impressed by the upkeep of the landscape. Dayton Court would update their landscaping for each season with fresh mulch, flowers, shoveling, etc. Whatever was needed to keep you feeling proud of the place you lived. The staff were always pleasant, warm and friendly--eager to help you with any issues you may have. Just going to pick up packages that were safely kept in the office that did not fit in your individual locked mailbox was a treat. It was always nice to be greeted by staff member Ryan with a smile and friendly 'hello'. Another great memory is the friendliness of all the residents in the buildings. Often while leaving my apartment for a run I'd see other residents relaxing in the courtyard or on their porches, always friendly, always kind. The overall experience I had was extremely satisfying and one that I still talk about even though I have moved on. I highly recommend Dayton Court Apartments for convenience, safety, quality, and overall satisfaction of living.

Nice, quiet apartments. I lived there for 3 years, and the noise of neighbors was never a problem. Parking can be difficult if you don't rent a parking spot for $150/month, but you're in an awesome neighborhood - close to wrigley, Lincoln Park, and right by tons of public transportation. I'm really glad I lived here for 3 years - it was a great choice.
