I lived at Dayton Court for 14 years, which says a lot right out of the gate. You cannot beat the location and the price, both of which are excellent. I moved in as a graduate student who needed easy access to public transportation and the ability to walk to many local businesses, and I moved out as a mid-career professional. The management and staff at Dayton Court were consistently kind, knowledgable, professional, and available. They were always responsive and fair, and did their best to be accommodating. While it is an older building, it was quiet and comfortable. I would not have lived there for so many years if it wasn't so great. I have highly recommended them to my closest friends.

I had a wonderful three years at Dayton Court apartments. Truly the most affordable one-bed on the north side of Chicago. I also appreciated plenty of laundry machines with the cheapest coin-operated machines I've ever seen. Very safe neighborhood and just far enough away from Wrigleyville to only be slightly loud when the Cubs win the World Series.

I loved my time at Dayton Court! The apartments are very affordable for the location, which is unbeatable! It's super close to the Wellington and Belmont CTA stops and a number of buses, with a ton to do in the neighborhood! The gated courtyard is beautiful, well kept, and a great place to spend time outside. The management office is onsite, and the staff was always available, friendly, and helpful. Maintenance requests were also always addressed promptly.

I loved Dayton Court Apartments! I was there for several years, first in a garden studio and then in a one bedroom; There are a lot of perks: you are very close to public transportation, there are a bunch of shops around the immediate area (shopping, restaurants, groceries, etc.), and the staff are great! Maintenance requests were always handled in a timely manner and the leasing office was readily available and super helpful. Although the apartments themselves are a little older, they are kept in great shape! I absolutely recommend these apartments for anyone looking for something affordable in a great area!

I lived at Dayton Court for a LONG time. I was very happy with my 1 bed/1 bath apartment with a balcony. The reason I stayed so long is due the fact that the apartments are affordable, in an EXCELLENT location (buses, multiple El stops, shopping, the lake, dining, grocery stores, doctors, cleaners, etc. are all a minutes' walk away), and especially because the maintenance staff was always very helpful and responsive. Same with the office staff. Any time I had a question, they were readily available and very kind. I lived in the center of the building so it was pretty quiet - you can still hear some ambient city noise and, depending on the wind, sometimes you can hear concerts from Wrigley too! The interior of the apartments are not modern at all but I love the character of old buildings. And I think the reason the apartments are so affordable is probably because they don't upgrade the appliances or fixtures very often. The radiator heat works great and I never had a single problem with my appliances. Once, I couldn't figure out how to light the pilot light on the stove and the maintenance man came right over and did it for me. He even helped me changed some hard-to-reach lightbulbs which is not in his job description and I really appreciated. I always felt very safe at these apartments and I honestly miss my cozy, single-girl home!

By far the worst apartments I have ever had the misfortune of living in. The rent is way too high for the quality of the apartments and the property management is incredibly rude and amazingly disrespectful. Towards the end of the lease they started to show our apartment to potential buyers, normally not a big deal. At first they gave a 48 hour notice, then they went to a 30 hour notice. We understand things happen and we accommodated their request to show the apartment. However, it kept getting worse and worse. It got to the point where I was in the shower and I hear a knock on my bathroom door saying they were there to show the apartment. There was no phone call or email or notice of ANY kind. They continued to show the apartment with 15-30 minute notices until we went to the leasing office and made our frustrations clear. Even then they attempted to show the apartment without providing a 48 hour notice. If you want an apartment ran by people who have no regard for peoples privacy or treating them with respect, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay clear.

I had a great experience living at Dayton Court, Apartments! This building location is so conveniently located between two train stations and a ton of restaurants and shops. It's only a few blocks from Belmont Harbor and great running trails. The management team is really professional and responsive and are so easy to work with. Overall I highly recommend living at this location.

I lived in Dayton Court for 2 or 3 years and then left when I moved in with roommates. However, 2 years later I moved back in. I needed to find another place to live and I was happy with them previously so I returned for another 2 years. It terms of location you cannot beat it. It is very close to the brown and red lines as well at you have the intersection between the Halsted and Clark buses. You can easily get anywhere in the city from this location. The noise level can be an adjustment because it is a major intersection and next to the hospital but anywhere in the city you are going to have noise. The court yard is great. It is well kept and great for barbeques and hanging out. Management is always friendly and helpful. The buildings are old and therefore the appliances are old and small but it doesn't really impact daily living. I highly recommend living here.

I lived in a 1 BR apartment at Dayton Court for a short 4 months. Please note that I only moved out because I was leaving Chicago. I had a very positive experience here and would recommend the property to anyone! The rent and location are what sold me on the apartment. The rent is very reasonable for the area - especially for a one bedroom! The location is unbeatable.... close to 2 L stations, fun restaurants and bars, shopping, grocery, and fairly easy street parking. The management staff is extremely helpful (when the office is open) with any questions and concerns. I never felt that I was being cheated or lied to about the property, amenities or maintenance. When I had to find a sublessor on short notice, the staff was extremely helpful throughout the process. Even though the property is located next door to a hospital, the noise wasn't bothersome.
