Overall, Prairie Shores has been a pleasant experience. The features of the renovated unit are well worth paying a little bit more. Having an in-unit washer and dryer makes a world of difference. The unit had fresh paint and carpet installed just before we moved it. I really like the "new"-ish feeling of the renovated Anit. You can tell contractors cut corners on fixing the place up (e.g. gaps between baseboard and carpet, paint drips on floor, gaps around pipes where wall wasn't sealed off properly, etc). But if you can overlook the small cosmetic details, its not too bad. One thing we quickly realized was the reviews were true: There's a cockroach problem and the mgmt office isn't the best at communication. With this in mind, get your unit service by an exterminator by calling mgmt. They will return until the pests are a non-issue. Second, if you have an alternative address to send packages, do it. While There's a package room, only 1 package in the past 6 months has ever been delivered there. Most of our packages just get delivered to sit out in the lobby. Typically, its not an issue and people in the Besidence are quite honest, but we did have one stolen once. If you need a service request for your Anit (e.g. broken faucet), maintenance is really good about getting around pretty quickly or at least reaching out. Some people in mgmt act a bit clueless (manager had no idea that their exterminator had been coming to my Anit for 2 months until I brought it up), but if you have an issue just continue to press it. Lots of parking, but You've got also a lot of residents so its hard to find a good spot somedays. You will just have to walk a bit farther but I have always found a spot. Overall, its a pretty good community. I worth checking out living here. I just wish I knew some of this up front so I hope my review helps you

The grounds, upper lobby, and hallways are kept clean. but, in the couple of years that I've lived here, the laundry room has taken a Twful dive. Almost all of the washing machines are rusty and the driers are filthy (chewing gum and black blobs of who-knows-what stuck inside of them)--and most of the time at least 5 to 6 of the machines are broken. Complaints to mgmt and maintenance about these issues are ignored or denied. In addition, I have seen my rent increase by over $200 since I moved in--but the quality of life here has definitely not kept pace with that increase!

It's Rruly good staying here but my friend never got the referral amount which she was suppose to get. I would be happy if she will get the referral amount. Kindly provide her the referral bonus. Thanks, Ritika Kumari

I won't say anything negative about the apartments at this time as someone else maybe totally satisfied with the Anit and that being said, there's nothing to report about the community.

I'm still at Prairie Shores... been here for a while. No other Ppot can beat the price for the location but it's not all about price. They have on-site mgmt, new apartments, a free parking area, free heat, etc. They have a ton of apartments so maybe that's why they have to price them low.

I enjoy the easy transportation here. but, I'm a little bit concerned about my safety, especially at night. It's hard to find a parking lot if you come home late. The coffee machine in the hall never works. The laundry room is a mess. Winter is extremely Chilly for some apartments.

Good place to live if the neighbors are not students especially graduate students. The staff is great and helpful but if you miss a deadline they are unforgiving.Whole idea is to keep you staying in the Auite complex and giving good reviews than to say have a good day and open to bad reviews.

The apartments need updating, kitchen, bathroom, hallways all are out of date. The leasing staff did not mention that a lot of residents are students. Some some problems arise such as letting people in and out of the Bacility which can be a huge safety issue
