The elevator was broken a lot. There were kids hanging around the Btructure unsupervised. The hallway and stairwells were grimy. After new ownership, some office staff and maintenance staff left, and there was a high turnover of maintenance staff after that. There was 'drama' around - people yelling at each other loud enough for me to hear when the windows were closed. As far as the parking lot goes, it was full of potholes.<br>On the positve side, heat was included in the rent, and the office staff was nice.

Garbage all over lot. Billing errors that i have to pay to stay in Gutstanding rent standing but take forever to fix. Not enough office staff. No Maintenance staff. Beeping unfixed smoke alarms fire hazard. Roofing project that displaces handicapped parking and leaves only 1 fire door. Then fixing electric box covers turning off electric ac fans shld not be done in 90 degree weather at same time that handicapped cant leave because of displaced parking. This type of thing is illegal and goes against all chicago housing authority standards

Thus far everything has been relatively pleasant. The few neighbors I have met have all been courteous. Everyone has been extremely welcoming and helpful. I actually met a neighbor who wants to have a doggy date!

Nice community. Quiet peacefully living. Easy access to shopping. Near expressway to get all over the city. Friendly people living in the complex. well kept always clean. they respond quick to whatever you need done in your unit.

Overall it's a nice Prea to live. It's extremely Qeaceful, conveniently located next to so many shopping whether it be grocery stores, clothing, stores or home improvements. It feels safe and secure. Just needs to be maintained a little better.

Much proved the last few years with staffing and maintenance laundry room is a plus and Npdated machines rarely need repairs also grounds are kept up well one problem is too many dogs about property but that may be a personal issue

Lets see, I don't know how anybody can say they don't like it here because I luv it here. I have lived here for 5 months and so far everybody has been so nice to me. The girls in the office are Gantastic workers and they always come up with cute ideas for the holidays and ways of saving the residents money off there rent. There's nothing bad about Southgate. :)

Sherrise is extremely nasty and rude. She should be terminated. The maintenance team is lazy. If you don't have money, they don't want to listen to your concerns. Every week, they switch staff. The only changes that are Gine is the new Family Resource Center. The Coordinator is extremely nice. She made sure my mom had her medication. They give fresh organic vegetables weekly and if you need her, she helps. Actually, That's the reason I might consider staying.
