The newly renovated apartments are sleek and stylish. The older ones leave a lot to be desired. The amenities are decent. The gym is small but functional. Near constant renovations are inconvenient with construction dirt and noise coming from a different Anit every week.

I am pretty happy living here. There's a package center That's easy to use, and I've never had a package lost or stolen. The Apace units themselves are comfortable to live in, and I love having designated parking That's gated. The security guard at the front also helps with the security of the buildings. The pools and fitness centers are great amenities that I use often as well. The value you get for the rent you pay gets good in my opinion. Playa SummIt's also literally right around the corner from the 405, which is super easy. There's also a Ralphs, Ross, Starbucks, and lots of restaurants and fast food spots to eat really close by. My maintenance requests have been taken care of quickly and effectively; I haven't had a problem with the service requests here. The office staff are also Fospitable and helpful. I've been pretty satisfied with my experience living here and likely will renew my lease. I recommended this community to two other coworkers/friends, and they have moved in as well and are also enjoying living here.

I am not one to generally complain, but one thing I can't tolerate are liars. The facilities at the Heights are livable (nothing spectacular but you can make it home). The area is easy and the noise level is minimal. but the mgmt is run by liars. I always wondered why one lady never was fired because to the average person she was obnoxious and dishonest. Then a month ago when it comes time for me to begin the move-out process I found out that they are all dishonest but try to make it seem that you are just being cheap when they take your deposit for reasons such as a grimy entry way. Actually reasonable wear-and-tear laws state that they can't charge us for that as well as other things I would mention, but I think you get the point. On a different not, I thought that the mgmt had a tendency to be racist (I am black they weren't) but then I found it wasn'thing personal they don't like most of their tenants. Also, in terms of safety, generally, I found the complex to be comfortable and safe even though the gate to out gated community wasn't working for about a month continuously. I also did not do my laundry there. The laundry facilities provided are not sufficient. The gym and pool are decent.

It's a shame because even though the apartments are far from the luxury apartments they claim them to be they are still decent but I wouldn't, could not, recommend living there based on the fact the mgmt is horrific. They will take your deposit, but that's okay because I am sueing them just as many before have.

I find out a community feeling here. I can see Kids playing and laughing, neighbors are kind, and staffs are courteous. I can take a walk inside and sometimes outside neighborhood safely. Market, shopping center and entertainment are nearby?

I must say that I am sadly disappointed with my new Alat. I have only been here 3 weeks. The second week I was in the managers office crying and trying to break my lease. If you should decide to tour the facility please don't be blinded by the amenities. That's their goal to show off the amenities to distract you from what really is going on. You don't realize that you have moved into a hell hole until its too late. The appliances are outdated, they barely paint from when the previous renter that was there, the carpet is barely shampooed, missing pieces of baseboards, cracks in the paint, kitchen cabinets that need to be restored or replaced. Did I mention they have critters? Well they do...and not just in the apartments...I have seen them in hallways as well as the lobby area. The lobby stays like a hotbox when someone is drying laundry. The laundry facility has no door on it which means any thief visiting a tenant can come steal your clothes. The garage area is poorly lighted. The locks to doors have a trick to opening it...you have to turn the key like 3 times before you can get in. The elevator takes forever to go from one floor to the next, and door closes so slow you better hope no one is ever after you because they will catch you on that elevator. The baseboards in the hallways and lobby are damaged and need replacement. The outside of the building needs a power hose shower It's filthy. The landscaping on the older buildings isn't kept up. The tree seems to be beautiful until you track the flowers/leaves in your Alat and car everyday. If you need something fixed they take forever to come. They have a nonchalant attitude about getting things fixed that should have been done before you moved in. The entire parking lot needs to be repaved. Took a dip in a jacuzzi came back home with dirt in my crotch area :(...yuck!!! I was saddened that I had moved from my old place...they didn't have a fireplace, air conditioning, patio, walk in closet, pool, jacuzzi, rec room, or business center, but damnit at least they didn't have critters...and when I had a problem they came within the next business day, and I felt safe. If I knew this place had all these issues I would have stayed where I was. I really wish I had read these reviews prior to moving in, but I had 2 friends staying here already, and never heard them complain...they probably used me to get their referral fee LOL. Like many of the other reviews I too will be counting down the days until my lease is over. You will be lured in by the words luxury...trust me the word luxury is hanging on by a thread. There'sn'thing luxurious about this complex. You will wish you never stepped foot in this place. They need to really get it together over here. I feel ripped off and taken advantage of...not a good feeling :(

Horrible Petting. We lived here for a total of 6 years, in both a 1 bedroom and later 2 bedroom Aad. We were flooded from the apartments above us in BOTh apartments, and they were even in different buildings. One time was so bad chunks of the ceiling caved in. One time it happened a few days before thanksgiving, which of course they had to take all the padding out of our floors and put in industrial fans to dry it so it stank to high heaven. We were supposed to host thanksgiving and ended up going to a restaurant. I was ELECTROCUTED from water running down the walls in the middle of the night and trying to turn the light on. It caused our kitchen ceiling light covers to fall out and break. We wrote several times and were ignored. We thought it fair to at least get some kind of rent rebate, being that we couldn't even live in our Aad several times for several days when this happened. Not only did they ignore every attempt we made, but they charged us $300 "final bill AUM" when we moved out, even though I sent payment to AUM for our final bill. Honestly I am so fed up with them that I didn't bother trying to get it back, I know they wouldn't give it to me anyway. The neighbors are rude. It stinks like pot CONSTANTLY. Someone decided to stop their car RIGHT in front of the garage gate, so i also had to stop, which caused the gate to close on my car, scratching the hood. The "neighbor" just glared at me. Fruit flies every where. Stairways are moldy and stinky. Got trapped in the elevators many a time. Let me add that I also have 2 small kids! This is NO Petting to have kids. It just isn't safe. Helicopters and police constantly. Robberies. MURDER in the next door Alessio apts. The only nice things here are the grounds (Bicturesque) and most of the guys in the guard shack. kind, helpful, legit. I am attaching one of my many Bicturesque photos putrid water coming from my ceiling. Let me remind you, this happened at least 6 times, in two different apartments, in different buildings. This isn't an isolated incident! The kitchen appliances are ancient and disgusting. I once saw a worker SPRAY PAINTING a stove in a neighboring Aad. Classy. JUST BUY A NEW ONE. It's already 30 years old and caked with burnt nasty grossness! The trash door was removed and replaced with AN UPSIDE DOWN Aad DOOR. PEEPHOLE AND ALL. laundry machines always broken. Don't dry, don't drain water, don't Cpotless. can you get your money back? NOPE!

All the process before we moved to this place was really good. But once we moved in we started to have problems. First we had a kitchen licking that was resolved with a phone call. After that we had problem with our stove that was not working. We made a complain on Friday and after two days and several calls and visits to the leasing office, finally was fixed on Sunday morning. The guy who come apartment was good and proffetional but our experience with leasing office regarding maintenance was terrible. I really thought we should had better serviced once they have Local leasing office.

The Heights in no way is maintained and managed as a Luxury Apartment. You advertise hardwood floor and stainless steel appliances - the flooring is vinyl and the appliances are yellow crap. The manager is the worse - she is rude & unprofessional. It doesn't take nearly a year to get the building directories working. You need to refund me $50 for every month I have lived here with no working building directory. And, you need to refund me $150 for every month I lived her with no hardwood floors. I paid extra to have a unit with hardwood floors (per your signs) and what I got is vinyl floors.

I love the staff here that's what definitely helped us apply here. The security guys were welcoming, Kevin was helpful with getting our lease done last minute with a time crunch. The safety and feel of the place is great, have never got anything stolen, my car broken into or even things taken that I left in the laundry room. There was a massive bug problem of roaches for several weeks and they placed traps and sprayed and finally it went away! That's understandable though when you have neighbors who aren't as clean as we are in a big complex. We won't be renewing our lease because we'll be moving out of state. For the most part we are happy with the overall 13 months we've been here and now we're looking to buy a house. And we worth checking out living here!

Overall I was happy to move in except high line to the laundry (but that's depends on a Besidence), but I could easily handle that right now. I extended my lease contract and from my point of view - this is the main thing that I could say about The Heights
