Negative: My husband and I moved into R2 in the spring and him and I have found ourselves to be living in a college dorm environment with a large price tag. Our experience here so far is such a disappointment and our complaints to the staff have gone without notice. The front doors of the apartment are well built and secure, therefore they are very heavy and the residents seem be completely ignorant at all hours around the clock -- Repetitive slamming all the time. 6AM, 2PM, 10PM, 3AM. I am surprised doors haven't fallen off yet. If you live in a unit that is in a hall, the door slamming will echo in your unit. Don't even plan to sleep in on the weekend, you will be woken by a slamming door at 6AM, then probably again 10 minutes later. If you've got a cell phone, chances are that you will not get reception and each time you need to use the phone you will have to go outside. You will hear residents talking on their cell phones outside of your window and walking back and forth, even at the most awkward hours. Residents at R2 do not keep their dogs or children under control. It sounds like everyone's dogs are fighting with each other all the time in the courtyard. The barking is endless and it seems like one dog will get all the rest of the dogs barking and their owners just don't care to stop it so it goes on for a long while. Children will be screaming outside at 7AM during both week days and weekends. R2 has also turned into a hot spot for auditions too -- recently there were Adidas commercial auditions going on in the pool area. There just seems to be many people wandering around the complex that do not live here, usually drunk. Overall, we had no idea that there would be such disturbances at R2 for the price that we pay for a one bedroom/one bath. We have complained to the staff, but nothing has ever been done about it. It is really a shame because from a distance, you would never think that living in such a nice place with a high price tag would bring such consistent disturbances or the feel that you're living in a college dorm.
