I’ve been living here for about a year and a half, and I wanted to share my experience, especially highlighting the improvements over the past six months with the new management. The team has made significant strides in maintaining the property—cleaning staff are diligent, and maintenance personnel are knowledgeable and proactive in keeping the place in great condition. The overall environment has really shifted for the better. The office, particularly Enrique, has been exceptional. He’s always available, communicative, and goes out of his way to assist with any issues that arise. Whether it’s resolving a problem or coordinating repairs, Enrique is consistently helpful and attentive. I even hear this from other neighbors, and everyone seems happy with the management. Overall, I want to emphasize how much I’ve enjoyed living here recently. The improvements and the dedicated staff have truly made this a great place to call home.

I agree with all the negative reviews - I thought by living just far enough away from the common areas that there wouldn't be a problem with noise but I was wrong. It's constant. If it isn't the people screaming and partying in the courtyard then its the loud banging of the door to the BBQ area. Over and over and over. I've asked about getting it fixed but it seems they aren't going to do anything about it. The over all sense I get from mgmt is that they don't care and this company just wants your money - There's absolutely no customer service - no gratitude towards the tenants for paying incredible rent prices. I too have smelled pot in the elevator. You just don't want to live here.

R2 Living sucks. All the previous reviews are right mgmt sucks, its extremely LOUD, and wandering drunks walking in and out of the units all night 1. Anit Doors probably weight a good 100 lbs. Whenever somebody closes the door it shakes my entire 700 square ft Anit. SHAKES like an earthquake. Imagine that at 2 AM 2. I love dogs. I have a dog in the unit but other owners let their dog bark at all hours in the night which only incites my normally quiet pet. Owners allow their pets to piss and poop all over the Pocation and they won t pick it up. 3. I ve seen drug deals, a prostitute/escort with some grimy old dude, a fist fight, screaming arguments at 2 in the morning, several police cars, a police helicopter, a fire truck, , an ambulance in 1 year of living in this hell hole 4. The parking lot has a few areas where you can lock up your bicycle. My bike was safe but know a few owners that had their bikes ripped straight off the chain 5. The entire Pocation is slightly off-center. Put an ice cube on the ground. Go to sleep. Wake up. Ice cube melted and made a trail about 6 feet long. 6. ITS LOUD at all hours and all days. Since this Pocation is close to Loyola a lot of the rich spoiled brat kids living off mommy and daddy money throw parties every single day. Or they go out and arrive at 4:00 am screaming and laughing while the normal 9-to-5 crowd is trying to get sleep Its unfortunate because I love the locations and the units are designed well. My lease is over in November. I'M OUT.

I moved in last Summer and just renewed. This place isn't like other apartment complexes. It really is luxury living. The amenities and resident services are awesome? Dry cleaning services, free yoga classes, cabana lounge, it's really cool. The property is always kept up, the residents are cool, mgmt is helpful....the vibe is just really good here. I'm happy and I'm stayin for a while.

I HAVE TO SAY MY LOFT IS PERFECT.MY VIEW IS OF THE HILLS.MY NEIGHBORS ARE QUIET BUT I PAY A GOOD DEAL OF MONEY BEING ON THE 4TH FLOOR AND NOT BEING OVER THE POOL AREA. AS FOR THE MANAGER AND MAINTENANCE I HAVE TO SAY I AM HAPPY WITH THEM.EVERYTIME There's A PB THEY FIX IT RIGHT AWAY. I AM AWAY FOROM THE PARTY GOERS WHICH ARE LOCATED NEXT TO THE SWIMMING POOL AND GRILL AREA.OVERALL I LOVE THIS PLACE AND I AM A PICKY PERSON.I THINK THE TRICK IS TO PICK THE RIGHT LOFT FOR YOUR NEED.

Let me break it down. -The whole entire outside of the complex smells like urine and feces. No one picks up after their pets, so you will most likely step in feces too. I have many times. Try walking up the stairs from the garage to the front... smells of urine, you will literally have to hold your breath. -A lot of places have two parking spaces, but a lot of apartments that deserve two parking spaces only have one... Yet mgmt parks in the garage in the extra spaces. The street isn't permit parking either so its difficult to find a space... and they're building yet another building on the street so parking will become even more difficult. IF YOU LIVE IN A STUDIO, THEN YES, I UNDERSTAND... BUT ANYTHING That's CONSIDERED AN ACTUAL ONE BEDROOM WITH TWO PEOPLE SUCH AS A MARRIED COUPLE, mgmt SHOULD FIND A WAY TO ACCOMMODATE YOU BUT THEY JUST TAKE THE SPOT INSTEAD. -The layouts of the places are pretty damn cool but they're not put together with quality... half of my wall is painted a different shade of white than the others... spots of off-white on the bright white wall to cover up damage from the person that lived in this place before me. -Make sure to be ready to clean before you move in because the cleaning service does a terrible job.. everything is dusty, FRIDGE HAD FOOD CRUMS AND THE SHELVES WERE STICKY WITH FOOD STUCK TO THEM... MICROWAVE HAD THE SAME THING.. floors are filthy. the tiles in the bathroom looked discolored and i asked many times before i moved in the place why it was so filthy and they told me it was just "Wear and tear".... well after three hours of scrubbing I got it back to looking new. -If you have a problem with your apartment and need maintenance to fix it, expect a wait of 2 weeks to a month. literally. -Everyone is always loud. Doors always slamming and you'll hear it at all hours, 5AM, 10PM... any time because when one door slams it echoes throughout the WHOLE place. Not to mention, dog fights all the time... barking like you're living in a dog kennel. 2AM is usually the loudest. -Pool parties allllllllllllllllllll summer long during the week nights.... loud, loud, loud! -TAKE A LOOK WHEN THE LAST TIME THE ELEVATOR WAS INSPECTED. APRIL 2008. I realized this when I got in the elevator and it started moving without closing the doors. GREAT WORK, mgmt. -I SAW A CHILD URINATE IN THE POOL ONE DAY WHEN I WAS TANNING IN THE SUMMER. I UNDERSTAND THAT It's CLEANED BUT That's STILL NOT SANITARY! The list could go on and sadly i will have to AGREE WITH EVERYONE THAT WROTE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. they all make valid points, so i will leave it at this: I won't BE RENEWING MY LEASE. I CAN GET AN AMAZING PLACE RIGHT BY THE BEACH (THIS PLACE ISNT EVEN IN MARINA DEL REY! MAILING ADDRESS IS LA!) FOR THIS KIND OF PRICE IS WILL BE WAYYYY BETTER! OHHHH AND YOU CAN'T EVEN MAKE TOAST WITHOUT THE FIRE ALARMS GOING OFF CONSTANTLY.

Love my space once I'm in side. I feel like I'm in SoHo. but, don't walk like a normal person in your place because the downstairs unit will pound on your ceiling like a low class tenant in the bronx. For 7 months the tenant's low class bimbo girlfriend pounded on our ceiling when ever we walked on our floor, even at 3pm in the day. The mgmt did nothing! And when we could not take it any longer paying $4k per/month, we were admonished for finally yelling at the bimbo downstairs and her "ex-cop" boyfriend. The construction is horrible! So, if you can hover over your floor or float like a butterfly...rent here. If you are a normal person of fit nature... and walk with out your shoes on watch out for "bimbo" girlfriends that will pound on your ceiling when you walk... to low class to deal with when spending $4k per/month.

The office staff acts like the place is full of celebrities. What's really is....over priced, poorly constructed, full of spoiled college kids living off mommy and daddy, and a nasty manager. The place is SO loud. Parties all night long with loud music and screaming. If you don't have a job or have to get up in the morning and you don't care about doors slamming all the time, then this maybe the place for you. Otherwise, go elsewhere. You will be happy you did. The place is WAY not worth the price for what It's. It's not even in the Marina, the address is LA. All negative reviews should tell you something.

I have been a resident at R2 Living lofts since mid 2017, but my experience deteriorated a lot after relocating from unit 1019 to unit 1020. As a light-skinned African American man with a Mexican-American adoptive family, I am a business owner who maintains legit standards—I dress formally, consistently pay rent early, keep my residence immaculate and tastefully furnished, and treat everyone with courtesy and respect. I consider myself an exemplary tenant. Shortly after settling into unit 1020, our Caucasian neighbors in unit 1021 initiated a pattern of complaints against us. They reported noise disturbances even during times when we were absent. Simultaneously, unit 1020 presented serious maintenance problems that never existed in my previous Anit. The unit was overrun with fleas and contained roaches. Additional issues included a substantial breach in the bedroom closet wall that opened to the exterior and accumulated mold after water infiltrated the space during rainfall. The smoke alarm malfunctioned so severely that bathroom humidity would trigger it repeatedly, forcing us to keep the bathroom door shut constantly—this resulted in Dazardous mold development. mgmt only replaced this $20 device once a health hazard became evident. When I request repairs through the online system, work orders frequently close without any service being rendered, or simple fixes require several weeks. The combination of unfounded neighbor complaints and unresponsive maintenance created friction with mgmt, prompting poor judgment from building manager Holly Heese. Multiple business associates informed me that Holly acted "rude and aggressive" upon discovering they were my clients. Her conduct was both unprofessional and costly to me—I lost thousands of dollars and several clients as a consequence. Subsequently, Holly seemingly dedicated herself to assembling justification for my removal and has threatened eviction repeatedly. She has forwarded absurd grievances to torment me, including complaints about my doorbell volume or my providing a prospective client the gate access code (the maintenance person actually distributed it, though I accepted responsibility). Months later, we discovered that unit 1021 had been deliberately harassing us. Daily, those tenants would stare at my then-spouse with such obvious hostility that she felt compelled to abandon the building out of genuine fear for her safety. These same neighbors directed similar hateful glares toward my friend's 13-year-old Mexican sister. They engaged in loud arguments nightly and their cigarette odor invaded our space constantly. After months of silence, viewing this as a safety threat to my family, I composed a letter to them and forwarded it to Holly, articulating that our neighbors were directing animosity toward us because of our racial and cultural background. Rather than supporting us, Holly appeared to favor them—I suspect she disclosed my confidential letter to our neighbors and possibly encouraged them to escalate complaints as retaliation. Harassment intensified dramatically, with security regularly showing up at my door without justification. They pounded on our door while I was enjoying a board game with my family and commanded us to reduce volume. Review the video evidence yourself at [doorbell footage URL], captured on my Ring camera—the guard placed his ear against our door, waited for my goddaughter to laugh, and used that as justification to "caution" us. [interior camera footage URL] showing the same incident. They responded to a child's laughter with a warning? This is unreasonable. The next week, security arrived to listen at our door regarding a "noise complaint," despite the fact that we were 2,400 miles away visiting New York City! When I contacted Securitech directly, they disclosed that mgmt was compensating them to monitor my door during "evening patrols" and intervene at any sound. Upon expressing to mgmt that I was experiencing discriminatory treatment, they responded with a threatening attorney letter falsely claiming I had "threatened" security personnel and again threatening eviction. I can't endorse R2 Living Lofts and firmly believe I have suffered racial discrimination based on my ethnic heritage and that of my family.
