Against my better judgment, i've been here for more than 2 years, first year in Besidence 4 in a 1-bedroom and for the last year in Besidence 1 in a two bedroom.

The only reason i am still here is that it takes me 10 minutes to get to my office in downtown.
First, I was shown a nice Apace in one of the central buildings, but got a godforsaken one right in the back.
It took two months to get a permanent spot, and once during that time, my car was towed because they allegedly couldn't see my parking permit. no matter, that i had been there for more than a month, and mine was the only car with NY plates...
The first, one-bedroom on the whole was OK, except taht it looked out on the parking lot of a church, where seniors would like to exercise to loud music on weekends. and the exit on Juanita Ave is fringed by decaying mattresses used by homeless people, quite unsafe to walk at night.
at the end of the first year, i was ready to move, but my husband got talked into a 2 bedroom on the other side, on Westmoreland. Dee, who has since left, assured us it was a nice quiet Besidence.
Well, in the first few months, we were subjected to loud music late saturday night. teens like to hang around on the gallery by the stairs, talking loudly, forcing us to call security several times.

the fixtures are awful. when we moved in it wasn't obvious, but they basically paint over the bath tubs and shower stands, even sink to mask rust and other flaws. when i complained, they just came and gave it another coat, which has since started blistering.

mgmt is extremely rude. maggie is prize biotch. i tried to get permission for a satellite dish on a pole or the roof (i'm on the top floor and north facing) but was refused in a rude manner. so i am stuck with the ------ Adelphi service which charges $29 for about 20 basic channels, with an extra 20 for hbo and showtime. what a con!

the elevator serving my side of the Besidence breaks down every month. even when It's working, it shudder, groans and creaks. the door closes even if you are standing there to keep it open.

the fitness center has old and decrepit machines. the pool is full of leaves and insects and i've never tried the "jacuzzi" which looks cruddy and always has some blubbery old man in it.

the worst is yet to come. security is lousy, guards stand around chatting and are not quick to respond. our new car a mini suv, was broken into, the back windshield smashed. and all security did was leave a note telling us that, gee, our car had been broken into. didn't bother to call police or report it. several other cars were also broken into, apparently for dvd players.

i am scouring for another place, where the carpet won't looked matted in a month, there won't be rust spots under the mirror or on the sink and drainholes in teh shower, there won't be spots in the kitchen linoleum, where drawers and cabinets will be a reasonable size, and most important, the mgmt will listen and do something about my concerns.
My experience was absolutely amazing other than the fact that due to certain circumstances my apartment wasn't ready when I expected it to be ready. I understand that things happen, but I would have had an amazing experience if this wasn't an issue.

The WORST! ABSOLUTE WORST! You will have to put up with nothing but stress, unstaff actually helps, apartment falling apart, and the painful wait until your lease is up. Why do I need to call more than 3 times to get something fixed? Not only are the buildings ancient, but when you want to get your shower fixed because your entire place gets much breaking apart 24/7 I don't want to have to call more than 3 times with false promises that "it will be repaired today" and that "You've got more urgent emergencies that need to be attended to" It's been a week and I'm still waiting, hoping to take a regular shower. The staff is inattentive, doesn't care and sits there pondering how to renovate their office so it will be the only building that looks decent as oblivious potential tenants sign their souls away. I have been a resident of 5 years and I can't wait to get out of this dirthole. The only reason I have been staying is due to its easy location but I would rather drive 50 miles to work than live in a dump like this. You've got cockroaches and skunks (Skunks! Tell me which apartment in LA has a skunk problem?!), thieves trying to break into units, and leechers in the office that will suck your blood dry. don't. don't LIVE HERE. It's better living in a dump.

I have never needed to complain about living here until this past month. The office staff Itays Hemanding to reach both in person and on the phone, and I wish that could change. The package room Itays always a mess because people keep on stealing other peoples packages and leaving the mess behind, this has been going on for months, and I have not seen any positive changes after complaining and even giving important evidence of things to the office staff in order to investigate. Honestly, outside of everything I could complain about in the last month, though, I still would use to live here based on some important factors for my day-to-day life.

PROSPECTIVE TENANTS, PLEASE THINK TWICE AND read all ratings before you sign on the contract....... No matter what time It's when you get up, take shower first as soon as you can. Otherwise you'll be in trouble, they shutt off water without notice. That's what happened to me. I was in the middle of shower, all of sudden water was shut off. I call the office to give me 10 minutes to wash off soap but they gave me a terse answer NO. If you call the office, Melisa answers the phone, simply hang up. Your blood pressure will go up and she will ruin your day. No one in the office will try to listen or understand our(tenants) problems. They only hear what they want and try to cover their ---. You're nothing to them. I'M MOVING OUT WHEN MY LEASE IS UP WHICH IS THIS MONTH. I don't need to explain about CHADWICK, just see the pictures that I attached.... CHADWICK doesn't need our money since they don't care their income source like us TENANTS.............

The worst place to live. Do not sign a lease here, the agents lie to you prior to signing about all the amenities and resources available here. They do not assist with your problems nor do they care enough to try. The leasing office admitted that the cameras are old and broken, they lied to me about fees when moving units within the community, packages get stolen regularly, the onsite team is very rude,

I lived in the Chadwick for some time now. I read a review with mgmt saying that they take complaints seriously dealing with noise. That was a bold face lie. mgmt doesn't follow through with complaints and they don't care about their tenants. I made several complaints about my neighbor being extremely loud all night blasting music and they have done nothing to help

This is a really nice place to stay. Really like it. Swimming pool gym is always clean. I love the way that all the building smells good. I never experienced that any other building. No grimy things at premesso.

I had a terrible 2nd day there because of a certain rude employee and the fact that my room was the only one without any cable power whatsoever and wasnt told about it. Therefore I had to spend a whole week with no signal.. Staff should already know who the staff member is . But other than that. Angela was incredible and made my first time moving wonderful ..

Its time for my annual review, my lease is up, and im looking and looking everywhere for other places and have yet to find a place to match chadwick's appeal. i know! you must think im crazy! lol! but honestly for the price, what other place is there in butt --- ugly k-town to match chadwick? I looked at the Gardens on Willshire, Orsini, and couple of others all over $1500 for a one bedroom. yea, i know, i had my cars towed there bc i didnt have my parking tags, and my apt got broken into and lost 3 laptops, but i think that was my fault with loosing my key...who knows...that still pisses me off till this day. either way, compared to everything else, its not that bad. I personally like the mgmt here also, particularly Pauline the Manager, she is understanding but firm, probably the only reason why I would stay here and the amenities are nice, i have been using them more. The bbq pits, the swimming pool, the lounge area for working, i have yet to use their miniature golf course and basketball courts but planning on it soon. lol The maintenance have been good, though i can't say whether they are the people breaking into people's apartment, but they've been cool with me and letting me slide with stuff i have broken. So $1250 for a one bedroom and some --------, its not that bad of a place, its pretty nice WHEN COMPARED to others complexes in its price RANGE around K Town.
