Alessio is the best apartment in the world. I love it so much. The staff is extremely kind. The entire place looks amazingly beautiful. It is exactly like a 5-star resort.

After arriving to our appointment on time, we were told to take a seat in the leasing office. After 30 minutes of waiting, a man walked up and asked if we'd been helped of If we needed help. We informed him of our 6 o clock appointment, and he apologized and said someone would help us shortly. After waiting 45 minutes, no one helped us. We like the look of the community, but this is just the worst service I have ever experienced. We drove 50 minutes for an appointment that they never showed up to. Shameful.

I moved away from this complex in 10/2008 when it was called Villa Azure. In total I lived here from 2000 - 2008, I moved in about 1 year after the facility was built. Trust me, all the reviews written elsewhere on this site are true for this complex and existed during most of the period it was called Villa Azure. The place was a nightmare the last years I lived here and judging from the current reveiews not much has changed. The primary reason for its downfall is that management rents to up and coming rap group members, many of which, are just passing through L.A. They can afford to pay any rental price and not question much else, as they are likely to be moving on within a year or so. I now live in Las Vegas and I accidently saw these reviews in 4/2013, and could not help but write a my own conformation of the other reviews posted here. It is a shame about the complex because it could be a really nice place to live. It is adjacent to multi million dollar homes that exist across the street. However, the only thing the Alessio owners (BRE Properties)do consistently is increase your rents at the end of each leasing period, you can count on it. The problems with crime, parking, ants, parties, auto breakins, and loud neighbors all existed during the period I lived here and apparently have not been corrected to date. However, you would not know all these problems exist when you're looking over from the million dolar homes just across the street in Ladera Heights. I have a dear friend who lives in one of those homes and he has no idea of the problems that exist at the Alessio complex. I suspect the reason they (BRE Properties)changed the name from Villa Azure to Alessio is the bad reputation that the complex acquired when named Villa Azure over the years. The pool and public area is designed so beautifully and they maintain the grounds very well, however, you can forget about everything else. When I lived here it was truly the Apartments from hell and apparently nothing has changed. Be warned!!!

I formerly lived here as a naive student going to the Art Institute in '07 - mid '08. The place is an absolute dump, and I did not feel safe whatsoever. The elevators were gross, and the hallways were disgusting, too. The cellphone service was terrible, I had some of my laundry stolen from the washer/dryer unit in the building, and the ant problem was ATROCIOUS. I had to constantly kill ants, use cinnamon, raid, whatever it took to get those ants out, but they would not stop coming into the apartment. They would come in from all sides, and it was disgusting. Also, safety: The apartment next to us was robbed; windows broken and electronics stolen. I did not feel safe, especially with some weirdos lingering around the pool late at night. Also! The front gate on the left side of the complex is shoddy. If a car goes in, there is enough time for some random stranger to squeeze through the gates and get inside. I've done it several times before when my electronic key didn't work. It was very easy to get in. Noise: Absolutely awful. I was a college student, and I never blasted my music as loud as some of the people there did. The walls were paper thin, I could hear the people above us stomping, and worst of all, getting it on. I could hear people arguing, glass bottles being thrown, pretty much everything. Not to mention the FIRE ALARM that would go off at 3 AM because some idiot decided that it was fun to pull it. This happened several times during my stay here. Security: I haven't had any bad experiences with them. They were helpful to me, especially when I lost my key, but I'm sure the staff has turned over many times since I've been there. I can't comment on the current staff. Parking: I don't drive, so I can't comment on that. I really do not recommend this place to anyone. Reading recent reviews about it, it seems to still be the same to me. I don't know how they stay in business with all of these complaints...
