The Fontenoy is a beautiful art-deco building, an elegant structure that can be seen from many of Hollywood's streets. The apartments are spacious with sunlight spilling in from multiple large windows, an abundance of closet space, and old-world detail. There's a well-sized pool nestled in a large lovely garden that you couldn't imagine hidden away a block north of Hollywood Blvd. Of course as an older building, it isn't without its share of quirks and kinks, but well-worth the stunning views. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the residents are laid back and artsy. They are pet friendly, although it would be nice if as a community, people were more courteous about picking up after their dogs. To those who appreciate a retro style with charm and character, where spaciousness, view and light are everything, I highly recommend the Fontenoy.

The Fontenoy is an oasis of beauty and spirit in the heart of Hollywood. Some residents have chosen to remain here for more than twenty years while owning homes elsewhere because what this building offers can't be measured in conventional terms. Concerns about mgmt accessibility, as noted in a few reviews, are often misunderstood. The truth is simple: vacancies here are exceedingly rare. When an apartment becomes available, It's claimed almost instantly sometimes even before the previous tenant has fully departed. A waiting list often exists, comprised of devoted long-term residents eager to move within the building rather than leave it. This alone testifies to the profound appreciation and loyalty inspired by this extraordinary place. The Fontenoy is not merely real estate; It's a living gem. Here, one doesn't simply choose to live the units themselves seem to select their inhabitants. To be granted residence is to be aligned with something fated, something greater than chance. Since moving in, my own life has expanded in richness and joy. I sincerely hope the new owners, who acquired this building for pennies on the dollar, come to recognize the irreplaceable essence it holds not only architecturally, but in the deep love and devotion its tenants carry for it. This is no ordinary property; It's a historic treasure. The Fontenoy is more than a place to live It's a destiny, a community, and a legacy worth protecting.

This place has roaches and flea's, it's an infest. You can hear the neighbors walking and talking. The apartment I was planning to rent had a history crime(checked online).bad water. The only positive I could find was the view. Keep looking unless you need this location. Rent $1395.

I stayed here for nearly a year, and the sole reason I departed was due to a career opportunity elsewhere. My unit was on the 7th floor with stunning vistas of Capitol Records, Griffith Observatory, and during clear nights I could observe the glow of downtown LA. I rented a studio apartment that felt incredibly roomy. Having previously lived in another hollywood building that was unbearably loud, I was astonished by how peaceful the Fontenoy is. The main challenge I encountered was parking, though it becomes manageable if you opt for the paid reserved spot option—pricey, but genuinely worth every penny. My neighbors were fantastic and the mgmt team is wonderfully kind (along with their dog). I'd love to take this Fontenoy building everywhere with me; it's truly amazing, and the panoramic views are absolutely spectacular.

i've been here for fourteen days now and i'm absolutely thrilled. the views are stunning and the unit itself is gorgeous. mgmt does regulate the temperature and occasionally the place can get uncomfortably warm. you do pick up on footsteps from neighbors at times, but that's just part of living in a historic building. the laundry facilities are brand new, maintenance keeps everything in great shape and spotless, and the staff is genuinely wonderful. i couldn't ask for a better move.
