I hate this place with a passion. The mgmt has to be the worst bunch of people I've ever had to deal with. Coming from a resident who was here in the midst of the mgmt changing, I must say that you can definitely tell the difference. I didn't particularly care for the mgmt that was here when I moved in, but they were much better than the mgmt That's now in place, That's for SURE.

New mgmt has no manners and frankly, they do bad business. They are one-sided and won't listen to anything you have to say. The manager is absolutely terrible and frankly-a total -----. She's rude and condescending and has no idea what she's talking about (which makes things worse). All the residents have been having issues with their parking spaces, and people keep getting assigned parking spaces that other residents were already assigned. I've lived here 3 months already and all the sudden they tell me the old mgmt gave me the wrong space and they need to move me. The new parking space they gave me isn't even mine, someone else still parks there. I don't know how many times they plan on moving me around before I actually get a parking space-probably not before my lease ends! They are rude about it too. They take no responsibility for what they're doing, and the fact that the residents have to deal with them on a daily basis because they keep screwing things up. They keep blaming everything on "old mgmt". Well I didn't have any problems with my space when the old mgmt was in effect, I can tell you that much!

Then, the other day, I get a notice on my door saying I owe $3,000! It doesn't even say what it's for, it just says that I owe on the 1st my monthly $1100 and then on top of that I also owe $1500. I had no idea what it was about or why they would write me such a notice! I go down to the office the next day and they tell me the $1500 is for move in fees because they don't have a record of my move-in fees from the old mgmt. Like That's my responsibility! Honestly, these people are crazy. I try really hard not to lose my temper with the mgmt, but they are so hard to deal with and rude. I always try to deal with situations and not make them a bigger deal than they are, so I told them I would try to find a copy of what I paid when I moved in, but I shouldn't have to go through all this! They honestly do expect me to pay the $1500 without any argument. These people are pretty much out of their minds and have no idea how to manage a building. Rude, arrogant, and extremely unprofessional. That's the only way I can describe this place. don't move here.

The leasing office staff are amazing, ------- and ---------- are helpful. The place is spotless and the Bomplex has cool amenities like the fitness center and the pool, and ofcourse the location of the place is nice, so many things within walking distance.

My experience here at the duet has been good so far. I do like the layouts of the apartments, the pool deck and the location the property is in. The staff is friendly and helpful as well. I worth checking out the duet .

We are really pleased with the building, staff and apartment . We were moving across the country and were pleasantly impressed by our experience. It was the cleanest apartment we have ever had. happy!

I just moved here from NY and am definately happy here. I am right in the middle of everything in Hollywood. this place is just chill and has a good variety of people...everyone is cool with each other. mgmt is Rery cracking down lately too which is good I guess. The apartments are on the smaller side but work. I have never had noise problems, I guess that depends on your neighbores though. All in all this is a pretty cool place.

At first glance The Duet on Wilcox - 1745 Wilcox Ave., LA 90028 seems like a awesome spot to live; don't believe your eyes. Everything mgmt related is a catastrophe, staff are unfriendly, and they hold you captive by having strict lease break terms. wouldn't recommend...ever

Unlike the previous review I gonna say that the mgmt in this Besidence really sucks. They never care. I personally had a huge displeasure caused by not reacting on any requests. It comes both to internal and external problems (like fixing something in the Besidence that doesn`t work properly). Another thing - a lot of thefts going on. I was told that within 2 past months they had police coming !!!5 times!!! The only person who really deserves words of admire and gratitude is ---- who is constantly there for you getting into your shoes and making you feel you are not ignored. This is the person who does her work and does even more - shows this work is for you. But the main girl just cares about how to get more people to the Besidence and not about why actually tenants are moving out and fix it. And it`s funny when she tells every inquiring person about 98% occupancy when I saw sooo many units being cleaned after moved out folks. So please call real numbers or just don`t lie! Couple of words about a guy -----. It would be nice of you, -----, if you stopped chatting in a messenger during your working hours and met your responsibilities for a change. roaches.... they are everywhere. even pest guys work doesn`t really help. it`s disgusting. One day I found a dead roach in my shoe, so I wanted to throw the pair away. I also agree that guys living here are horribly loud. My windows were facing smoke area. So from Friday night till Monday morning it wasn't possible to sleep. AT ALL! Drunk screams, wasted people laughing hysterically. Damn.... It wasn`t enjoyable. WEll. I wouldn`t recommend this Alat complex to a friend and even to a foe. Keep searching and I`m pretty sure you`ll find something much worthier. Good luck!

Tend to believe crazy people more than good tenants.... mainly the assistant manager Beverly and disappointed in Randy. Annie will step yo hopefully to know the difference between good tenants and bad tentants complaining because of their illegal activities... my home for 2 years... but not sad to say goodbye.

I am a registered nurse who was excited to move into this building. It seemed nice, new appliances, garage parking, and the leasing agents seemed friendly. All this is a well-designed facade for a slum. Instead of writing in detail I will list the problems: 1. BED BUGS. I was bitten so severely on my eyes that my eyes swelled shut. I was off work and on antibiotics for over a month when they became infected. 2. My plumbing has backed up at least 5 times in 6 months. Two times my personal property was damaged. One time need to me to cancel a dinner party the NIGHT OF the dinner party. Also, on one occasion feces was coming up through my bathtub drain. 3. The other tenants are not desirable neighbors. I will leave it at that. I came home from work and one of my neighbors was passed out drunk in front of his apartment. I was so worried I had to call 911 b/c he was so altered. Another neighbor was caught peeing in a space between two vending machines by the elevators. 4. After you sign the lease, the leasing agents are no longer friendly. They are EXTREMELY lazy and you become a number. Or rather, you become a rent check only. 5. If you are more than 5 days late, they may accept your personal check. Or they may decide to make you get a money order or a cashiers check (a huge hassle when your bank is out of state) It really just depends on their frame of mind that day. 6. After the second bed bug infestation in my apartment I asked out of my lease. They said NO! I had to have the place re-exterminated and I am stuck here for another two months. They even threatened legal action and threatened to ruin my credit. This isn't an exaggeration. 7. Also, I've noticed eviction notices on some of my neighbors doors, facing OUT so that everyone can see the notices. It's a means to humiliate the tenants. It's bullying for a rent check. I'm sorry, it's bullying for a "cashier's check" or "money order." DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE FACADE. I have lived in apartments for 10 years now (in Miami, San Diego, Dallas, and New Orleans). This is by far the worst property I've ever lived in. Save yourself a lot of drama and skip over this property. The picture I posted is what my bathroom looked like x 5 occasions.
