The experiwnce has been great, no complaints. The maintainence staff is very efficient and prompt. The building is renovated and updated time to time. Have been enjoying my stay here throughly. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Great place to live. I would recommend this to to LA The location is perfect and it is nearby many places to eat drink and have fun it is also accessible to mass transit such as the LA metro

The Flat has amazing amenities for the price and location, being that it is just out of DTLA. It's a very accessible location and is a nice walk into downtown if you commute downtown for work. The move-in process is quite effortless as well. Highly recommend!

The community is great at The FLAT. We love the new renovations in the place for the community to hang out and get to know people. The pool is amazing all year. The gym is great and the new equipment is wonderful. My son (12) loves it here as well. The young adults here are respectful of him and him being here. It is a great place for short or long stays for young actors and parents who are giving LA a shot. It is in the heart of downtown and in the middle of most auditions and coaching areas.

I've stayed at dome dodgy places in my life, but The Flat is like no other. This place tries to be a "diamond in the rough"... while being located next to the 110 where there are rows of tent. I've gotten my car broken into (there was nothing in sight!) and received no apology or compensation for damages. My biggest problem with The Flat is the management. There are a lot of random costs that makes no sense. The fact that utilities is pro-rated based on the ENTIRE building's consumption is absurd. There is an extremely high turnover with the leasing office. I never got my deposit back even constantly asking for 3 months (no damages... and my unit was being renovated too). Not to mention, the fire alarm is constantly going off in the middle of the night. The halls smell like weed all the time. Security is very poor. People randomly enter the building all the time. There is no reason to spend your monthly income here. Might as well spent 200 more per month and go to one of the nicer building that is actually in DTLA. All in all, if you like being ignore by the staff, paying for your neighbor's utility bill, waking up at 1AM from the fire alarm screeching in your ears at least twice a week, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

This has become my home, its where I started my life in LA, and now I'm sure this is a place I'd like to stay for a very long time. I'm here in LA for grad school working towards my PhD, and living at the Flat has only made things move forward with a momentum that can't be found anywhere else that I can imagine. The staff has been my rock in transition here to LA, and could not ask for more from such an amazing support system captured by the maintenance crew, and the office. Amazingly Brilliant in Character as I say for this community!

The community at The Flat has been amazing since my short time here. The staff has actually been my rock in what I can characterize as thriving here in Los Angeles. Working to secure my place in this community was very smooth, quick, and reflective of a commitment to quality, performance, and management standards unparalleled to any management company I've worked with in the past. The maintenance staff, and vendors that Waterton contracts with in providing the amenities found in this community have been stellar, and in some way become like family. The renovations that have occurred have truly made this community a very hip, modern, and aesthetically pleasing space where members in this community can relax, and enjoy what DTLA has to offer with pretty much everything in walking distance. This is a very nice place to live. The building was just renovated with amenities. They are pet friendly and management is very helpful. When I first moved in , I was constantly in their office with questions and concerns especially during the renovation. They were very patient with me.

I love the location and amenities The Flat has to offer! Looking forward to living here! The only problem I have experienced is the leasing office not answering calls or calling back. Also, leaving packages in front of my door, instead of the leasing office where I know they will be safe.
