“Pros: Loved the building, met great people, great sunlight Cons: Pricey, but worth it for the area”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 212 Pros: This is THE Quintessential Cool Brooklyn loft with real walls, nice finishes and amenities like elevator, laundry & mailroom. Cool neighborhood & neighbors. Cons: No roof access and outdoor space in back lacks appeal Advice to landlord: Honestly I’m impressed and don’t have any feedback”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Management and super are on top of it and very responsive. Units are big and beautiful. Building is kept very clean. I'm very grateful for how responsible the building managers were during my entire lease :) Cons: Unfortunately despite monthly exterminator visits to each unit, and two fumigations of our unit upon request, there are still cockroaches. They fall from the vents and come up from the drains even with drain covers. The building itself is kept very clean and the cleaning lady comes by every morning to mop the common halls so I'm not sure they can do any more for their tenants. Just an unfortunate part of living in NYC I suppose.”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: - Beautiful, large spaces - Fantastic location - Responsive management - Nice neighbors - Nice laundry rooms and package room - Quiet (if on a higher floor, facing the back of the building) Cons: - The elevator is a bit slow - No trash chute Advice to landlord: Keep it up! It's a great place to live”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: - If you're looking for lofts in East Williamsburg / Bushwick, these are some of the biggest / best I've seen - Very attentive management. Any issues we've had in this unit is usually fixed within hours vs days / weeks. - Well kept building. They've put a lot of effort into renovations to make everything look nice (repaved the outdoor area, new paint jobs on every floor, ect) Cons: - Walls / floors are paper thin so depending on your neighbor you're going to get a lot of noise coming through. - Area can be a little dodgy at night Advice to landlord: Keep it up, the place is looking great! A lot of the cons just come down to loft living / the area so not much you can do.”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 1I Pros: Big spaces, gorgeous loft details, ample laundry rooms, elevators, roof deck Cons: Insane parties at all hours of the night, thin walls so you hear everything, cockroaches, mailroom theft Advice to landlord: Get control of the parties”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: good heat & lighting, clean hallways & common areas. pretty thick walls between apartments, don’t really hear neighbors. responsive & helpful super. in-building management is super convenient. Cons: occasional cockroaches and waterbugs, especially in summer, likely coming in from neighboring units. expensive flat-rate utilities. unfortunately can hear upstairs neighbors a lot. Advice to landlord: would love roof access”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The building management is quite decent and responsive to issues. The building crowd is very cool. Good package handling. Cons: Building can be a bit janky. The neighborhood is cool and grungy but a bit oppressive to walk past a concrete mixer every day.”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The super Adam was really chill. I thought the landlord was fair but not friendly. The laundry in unit usually worked. Cons: The neighbors are rude and entitled NYC transplants. Advice to landlord: None”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Pretty spacious loft apartments if you're lucky. Corner lofts have plenty of windows. In building washer and dryers. Cons: No rooftop access like McKibbin Lofts across the street. No system to buzz in guests.”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 306 Pros: Loft-style structure, high ceilings Cons: Noise level, loud neighbors at all hours Advice to landlord: Better construction, better heating/air-conditioning system”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 403 Pros: Close to the L Cons: Old shitty building that somehow gets worse with every renovation”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: The owners are nice although I haven’t received my security deposit back even when I left the place good when I left. I hope to get this back. They are accommodating overall and always willing to help. Beautiful light in the apartment and giant windows. Close to the train and near a really nice little park. Cons: Lots of roaches. Saw a mouse in the middle of summer too even though I lived on the fifth floor. The backyard could be way better for the price of the building. At least some seating. No roof access which sucks. Not very lively in this area and the grocery stores are all extremely expensive. Elevator is super slow. The super can be snarky for no real reason. Overall overpriced.”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Spacious apartments, close to subway Cons: Neverending construction in the building for unnecessary “improvements”, cockroaches, noisy furnaces, annoying neighbors blasting house music at all hours”
— 255 MC KIBBIN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: I saw Lindsay Lohan shooting something here once. Cons: I had to convince the landlord for 2 months there were bedbugs before they finally sent a tech. He kept sending the cleaning lady to inspect. UM is she a certified pest tech?! Is she constantly living in the nightmare of getting eaten alive at night!! It took 2 months of convincing and then another month of living out of garbage bags to get resolved. Beyond this, I was paired with a 40+ year old loser guy in a shitty rock band who only lived here to try to creep on young drunk girls. He eventually got kicked out for trying to grab my girlfriends breasts. What a moron. Noisy, absent landlord, gross kids who get rent paid by parents while “figuring life out”. Would not recommend. Advice to landlord: Actually care about the people living in this building and who pay you an absurd amount to live in this junk place. Holes in the ceiling, alarms always going off, roaches, rats, bedbugs, holes in the walls, people on roof when there is no roof access. Hot mess”
