“Pros: Cute place to live close to train Cons: There are bugs!!!!!!!!!!!!! And the street is so loud at night”
— 248 STOCKHOLM STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 3L Pros: Water pressure is good Cons: We’ve had roach issues during the entirety of our stay, the street is loud and people blast music till 3am on weekends, we have old kitchen equipment while the apartments on the first floor have newer kitchen equipment for the same monthly rent Advice to landlord: Fix the roach problem!!! And replace all the kitchen equipment with newer models”
— 248 STOCKHOLM STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 3L Pros: I'll hand it, the exposed brick is pretty. Cons: Squatters constantly in the building, on the roof, leaving broken crackpipes and used needles in the stair and hallways. Screaming and tweaking out in the hallways. Smoking inside. Propping the front door open at all hours, even breaking the door handles so they don't close. Terrible pest problem, the entire apartment is dirty. Roaches everywhere. The exterminator is responsive, but the problem is unmanageable. Advice to landlord: Care about your tenants.”
— 248 STOCKHOLM STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Very responsive landlord. Made some improvements to the apartment. Cons: Very loud neighbors, dirty hall, apartments are narrow and awkward. Neighbors use the basement as an extra living room. Advice to landlord: Keep things clean and tidy. Keep the apartments in better condition.”
— 248 STOCKHOLM STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Lots of natural light, never had a pest problem, really lovely neighbors, never had any plumbing issues. Overall really loved living here. Cons: No way to buzz people in The doorbells were broken in a few of the apartments in this building. Sometimes the landlord can take a while to respond and gets things done pretty cheaply.”
— 179 JEFFERSON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: You can do whatever you want Cons: No one cares about the building, super gross, pests, mice, loud outside. Advice to landlord: Maintain the property”
— 248 STOCKHOLM STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Backyard, cheap rent, freshly painted Cons: Noisy neighbors (from long term tenants), heat was controlled by one unit and always freezing in your apartment. Advice to landlord: Care about your building”
— 201 WOODPOINT ROAD · Brooklyn“Pros: It had a yard and price was cheap enough. Cons: The Super lives upstairs. He and his family make a lot of noise. They also use the basement as their hangout spot. Other tenants in the building shout and stomp throughout the stairs especially early in the morning. Loud music at all times of day. They threw garbage in the yard. I caught their kids stealing and breaking the lightbulbs for the outdoor lighting we installed. But the worst by far is the Supers dog, or rather their treatment of the poor thing. It is neglected and poorly treated forced to spend all of its time in the basement. They don’t even take it for walks. They just clean up after it down there, when they feel like it. I wanted to call the aspca but I couldn’t figure out how to do it without the super knowing it was me. He was highly confrontational and got in my face more than once. Advice to landlord: Fire the Super and get someone who won’t attack your tenants.”
