“Pros: Decent laundry room, great location, responsive super, helpful doorman Cons: Can hear neighbors a bit, some units have virtually no natural light”

“Pros: in a good location Cons: years-long roach infestation and hazardous conditions, incompetent super, unresponsive and aggressive management (who refuse to fix anything regardless of how easy). Majority of laundry room machines were broken the entire time I lived here. Large rent increases common.”

“Pros: Location is great Cons: Broker misled us bigtime. “Doorman building”- very nice people but not doormen really, just package handlers. The culture is to let up everyone who walks in and give out your information. They often have headphones in, wish they’d just put a video buzzer like walk-ups, it would be safer. A delivery person actually said to us “this place would be really easy to rob.” Were told multiple repairs would be fixed by move in, none resolved. Roaches. Mice. Unresponsive owners. Overpriced. Super is nice but incredibly overworked and without the resources to do anything. Advice to landlord: Either use the buzzer system or give the front desk a phone system to call up. Stop calling it a luxury doorman building. Give the super help.”

“Pros: Centralpark is your backyard. Cons: Large cockroaches. U can have exterminator but it seems not working. Advice to landlord: Please be generous to the renters who pay for you.”

“Pros: The location is nice, as are the staff. Cons: When we moved in, our unit was filthy, and it takes weeks/months and many contacts to resolve maintenance issues with the unit. The super seems like he’s trying but is very overworked, so I put the blame on the management company being too cheapskate to hire sufficient maintenance staff. Also, the brokerage they use for renting out units misrepresented the improvements that would be made to the unit prior to move in.”
