“Pros: Building super, neighbors, rent controlled, clean common spaces, great location near the park and train, large apartments. Cons: The whole area has a rat problem, so I can't blame the owners and super. The super tries his best, but it is really the city's problem. The street can get loud because of the hotel on the corner, but that's part of living in NYC. There are always cops around.”

— 132 WEST 112 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Apartment has massive windows with tons of natural light. Good amount of space for Manhattan Cons: Overpriced. No laundry in building or dishwasher, which should be standard for what we pay. Block is extremely noisy especially at night, and lots of homeless/drug users loiter outside. Landlord refused to negotiate rent down during the pandemic so we're moving, along with half of the building. There has also been construction across the street or on the building for most of the last 4 years. Advice to landlord: Add a laundry room and negotiate with your tenants at a time when rents have fallen around the city. And discourage loitering in front of the building.”
— 132 WEST 112 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Two blocks from Central Park Cons: Horrible block with crackheads ans crack deals in front regularly among other drugs and prostitutes. Recent building break-in and robbery. Main doors are regularly broken. Lights are out in hallways. There’s construction around the building, providing shelter to homeless and dealers. Not safe or clean. Advice to landlord: Lower the rents and clean the building!”
