“Unit 2W Pros: New appliances, washer/dryer in unit, we were the first people to live here. Cons: Management was unresponsive to our complaints of no heat whatsoever from December to February. They did not fix the heat until March.... The super was terrible and either didn't show up, or would show up hours later than the scheduled time.”

— 170 WEST 109 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building itself is extremely quiet! Neighbors keep to themselves and are chill; I’ve never had a package stolen. Mainly parents with kids, young professionals, and a few students. The super, Ivan, is incredible. If you inform him of an issue, he’s there that day to fix it. I can’t overemphasize how lucky I was to have him!the neighborhood itself is super beautiful to be apart of. Great people, restaurants and vibe! Cons: My poor noise rating comes from the EXTREMELY loud construction that is happening in the lot behind the building. Monday-Friday it starts at 7:30am on the dot & Saturday 10am. In the two years of living here, I became somewhat numb to it... but it’s LOUD. The building hallways aren’t the cleaaanest in the world, but it’s never gross by any stretch. The main reason for my leaving this building is due to the lack of any natural light. Despite having large windows in the bedrooms, the new 20 story building keeps from even an ounce of direct light passing through (which is crazy making for someone like me with seasonal depression). Advice to landlord: Consider repainting the hallways to something less harsh! Keep Ivan forever and give him a raise!!!”
