“Pros: The courtyard is cute and large windows Cons: Could barely sleep with the amount of noise that echoes around this apartment. I could even hear the upstairs neighbors conversations, the floorboards are so thin. Pest issues, holes in the walls and floors, scalding hot water out of nowhere. This place is a walking hazard and management was not helpful until we took extreme measures.”

“Unit 4R Pros: Location...literally the only good thing about this place. Easy access to transportation and lots of wonderful restaurants/bars in the area. Little courtyard area is cute. Cons: Where to start...first of all its clear there are some shady subletting processes or lack of background checks on tenants because there are a lot of mentally ill people and drug abusers in the building, which makes it both a loud and unsafe environment. Pest and waste management is abysmal, rats are found all throughout the garbage collection area and I even had one crawl into my apartment. Which brings up another point, that the building is falling apart and managed by a bunch of slum lords. Cracks/holes in walls and windows, shoddy finishes on the hard wood that has trapped previous tenants hair/dust, the hot water/radiator pipes are failing. The radiator pipe burst in my apartment, flooding the bathroom and living areas with boiling, highly pressurized water and it took them 2 days to temporarily fix it and another whole 2 weeks to stop the leaking. They falsely advertise the super as "live in" (he is not) and he is horrible about responding to tenant texts, calls. I have had my belongings stolen from the package room multiple times, with promises to check the cameras that were never delivered. Unless it is an immediate safety emergency, maintenance requests and complaints take weeks to get a response (if ever). If you value your mental health, quality of life, safety, or just having a habitable apartment in general, don't move here Advice to landlord: If you are going to manage the building this horribly, not respond to tenants requests, and fail to uphold any basic standard of building quality or safety, have some shame and don't charge more than 1k in rent for any unit in this shit hole”

“Pros: Lots of young people in the building No pest or rodent problems Cons: Front gate to building does not lock”

“Pros: Great common area outdoor courtyard, code in building is convenient. tenants keep to themselves. Cons: very old building, garbage usually all over the front after a saturday. appliances are super old and sketchy. no dishwasher or laundry. heat is controlled by building. Advice to landlord: Clean the facility more”

“Unit 6R Pros: There is a cute little courtyard. Never had a problem with noise from neighbors. Cons: I always thought it was weird that there is a front gate but it's literally never locked/has no security at all. There is sufficient water pressure but I used to always dread taking a shower...randomly throughout a shower the water will inexplicably become SCALDING hot. I'm talking about unbearably hot. And there's nothing you can do except jump out and wait for it to pass. If you try to turn it down, it just becomes ice cold. Really horrible. But the worst part was winter...the heat would be either turned off completely or just turned down so much it might as well have just been off. I used to have to sleep in a short sleeve shirt underneath a long sleeve shirt underneath a hoodie with a robe on with fleece pajama bottoms two pairs of socks and two blankets and was STILL COLD!!!! I eventually bought a space heater to use and even with that and all bundled up it was STILL freezing. I used to wake up in the middle of the night shivering so hard my whole body was convulsing. And then I couldn't fall back to sleep because of how cold/uncomfortable I was. It was so horrible! I will never forget that. Advice to landlord: Don't freeze anyone out anymore!”

“Pros: Someone came to clean the halls every weekend Cons: Lots of exterminator calls from me when I lived here. Tons of mice coming out of holes in the walls and ceiling that the management company wouldn’t fix. Also water bug roaches and these strange small beetles.”
