“Pros: Location and close to subway Cons: Management, pest control, infrastructure, responsiveness, noise levels, insulation”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Love the location - so close to the 6 train and Trader Joe's. Eric, who is at the front desk much of the time, is so nice and helpful with packages and knows everyone. It's great to have a balcony (nice big windows too) and nice that flexing is allowed. Pricing feels a tad high. It's not perfect, but happy overall especially because of location. Cons: Have not been able to use the rooftop since moving in (due to the front of the building being inspected which is not management's fault and is now complete - but I don't sense that getting it back in shape and open is a priority). Lexington Avenue is very loud, it can be hard to get an open washer/dryer in the shared laundry room, and the hallway carpets really need to be replaced. The worn hallways just bring down the feeling of quality in terms of it being a nice place to live. Seems that this should be a no fee building, compared to others of this type that are.”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: affordable, clean, modern Cons: pests, laundry, area is a tad underwhelming. Advice to landlord: get rid of the mice and clean the vents”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Balcony, light, area Cons: Some mouse issues, construction noise”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Only pro is the doormen are nice and responsive. Cons: Management and administration does not care at all about their tenants. Mice and roaches always in the basement, and sometimes in the apartment too. They “fix” things with duct tape. Very poor response time regarding things being broken. Definitely rent prices are way too high for what the apartment is actually worth. Advice to landlord: Care more about your tenants and respond in a timely manner.”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Larger sized rooms for nyc standards Nice doormen Cons: Flexed rooms so do not have any lighting to living room and also receives no sunlight as a result. AC is spotty and not good in flex room. Had leaks during stay. Building management just seems to treat everything as a patch job and not very helpful. Building is semi clean but could be better. Elevators always break down. Advice to landlord: Manage property better”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Great doormen, nice rooftop Cons: Laundry room is gross and expensive. Elevators are a little sketchy. Super isn’t very responsive”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: New appliances, natural light, good doormen Cons: Super loud, TERRIBLE ownership and super, charged me an arbitrary amount when getting my security deposit back with no reason why. DO NOT RENT HERE Advice to landlord: Treat nice tenants better, especially those who have lived there for a long time”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Decent Neighbors, location, water and heat had no problems. That describes 100% of the pros Cons: HUGE mouse infestation on every floor of the building. Probably hundreds in total. Super is awful, extremely rude and lazy. Gets complaints from every tenant about mice but never does a single thing about it. Bald white doorman is also very rude… Worst thing is there are dozens of mice in the laundry room, so going to do your laundry is an absolute nightmare Advice to landlord: Fire the super and get pest control in on every floor. The mouse infestation is intense”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen are wonderful and close to everything Cons: Disrespectfulness and unresponsiveness and insensitivity of building management Advice to landlord: Fire Edwin”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Mice, mice, mice and more mice!! Don't know a single resident who hasn't had a mouse problem in this building. The roof is unkept with parties and bottles every weekend. You will definitely see animals in the laundry room. Management needs to get it under control!!”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: All of the doormen are very nice and helpful whenever you need something. The laundry room is clean and the trash is organized neatly. Cons: The rooftop looks nothing like the pictures in terms of renovations and cleanliness and the hallways have a distinct weird odor. I never saw pests but I could definitely hear them through the walls.”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice apartment finishings, good trash management. Cons: The building has a major rodent (mice) problem! They do not tell you this before you move in. Please be aware the building has mice. Advice to landlord: Have mice traps down and all holes sealed up prior to each new resident moving in. The exterminator should do that by default when turning over apartments.”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“The apartments are nice but the building has a rodent problem. I love on a higher floor and still have mice. The leasing team did not disclose this information when I first moved in. They put traps down, but they did not get rid of them. I wouldn't have chosen this apartment if I was aware of the rodent issue.”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“My super’s wife took my laundry out of the dryer because i was 2 minutes late by the slow elevator in the building , my laundry wasn’t dry 100% . I took his wife laundry out because I wanted to let her know don’t touch people’s laundry under the pandemic. Later my super came up to know my door asked me why I took her wife’s laundry out , I told him because she took my laundry out at first.”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: - rooftop - subsidized gym next door - fios in building Cons: - decrepit and overpriced apartments - super doesn’t fix anything - extreme noise from construction next door - the fat morning doorman is an asshole Advice to landlord: Fire super, fire fat doorman, repair apartments”
— 184 LEXINGTON AVENUE · Manhattan“This apartment building has great doorman, great location, nice room sizes;; BUT the building doesn't respond to basic maintenance or emergency maintenance like rodents or roaches.. the apartment building is infested ... do not rent here.. anyplace else but here!!!”
