“Unit 10 Pros: Well maintained building, nice brick interior, management office across the street, quick responses to issues. Cons: Thin walls, if your upstairs neighbor is a heavy walker it will sound like thunder, but that's pretty standard for old buildings. Only the bedroom has windows, so the living room and kitchen area does not get much light.”
— 306 EAST 6 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I liked the size as it is perfect for just one person. Whenever a maintenance order was put in, it was usually resolved within a few days. Cons: The rent is absurd for what you are getting. We had to beg the landlord to get a security camera/update the locks as there were multiple packages stolen and many people tried to break in. It is now resolved.”
— 306 EAST 6 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great area, nice layout of studios, natural sunlight Cons: Need filter in shower. Water can come out dirty”
— 146 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The location of the building is great. Cons: Matel Realty are the biggest bunch of crooks you’ll ever encounter- if you have any problems whatsoever, good luck having them solve any of your problems (mice, robberies, heat terrible neighbors etc) No apartment is worth the bullshit Matel will put you through. Advice to landlord: Treat your tenants with respect.”
— 146 1 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Property management is across the street, good response time. Supers are hard working, skilled and seem to have integrity unlike Sol who’s a classic manipulative dirt bag who will take money that is not his and hide behind Matel Realty. Obviously they’re shit too. Typical strong arm bullshit from these assholes. Also, beetle house is the ground floor bar, kind of entertaining but crowds are annoying and staff is untidy Cons: CCTV isn’t actually on, shitty youth will roll the dice and steal your package. Advice to landlord: Don’t mislead prospective tenants, be direct and have integrity.”
