★★★★Oct 2025

Pros: Good location, close to a lot of food Cons: Roof was not maintained, living room had no window and was small, washer and dryer was in an inconvenient place

★★★★Sep 2025

Pros: Nice bedroom sizes, good light and amenities. Loved the location and view from the roof is great Cons: Pushed back the move in date by a week for cleaning, and showed up to a filthy apartment. Most appliances ended up breaking and took a while to get replaced. Confusing maintenance request system where people within the company did not seem to be communicating with one another. After offering a rent credit for the first year, you get hit with high prices when the renewal time comes.

Unit 6 Pros: The units were really new and nice appliances, and had plentiful outlets and nice AC/heat units in every room. Cons: Management is horrible! The front door to the building constantly has locking issues (wouldn't lock for the first 4 months of living there, and then when they "fixed" it, it would lock people in to the building), mail is constantly being stolen, our dishwasher was broken for over a year and we had an awful time communicating with them to come in and fix it, our electricity meters were combined and we are STILL dealing with getting the bill sorted, etc etc.

Unit 3A Pros: Rent was cheap and my apartment had a nice kitchen island with ac units in both the living room and bedroom Cons: The neighborhood is a bit rough. And you can hear noise whenever the J train goes by and from people blasting music in their cars There's only 1 washer and dryer. They're tiny and coin operated Advice to landlord: Upgrade the laundry!

Unit Apt 1 Pros: Beautiful kitchen with nice finishes, two stoves, a large size dishwasher and a built in microwave Lots of space with a basement, office, storage and separate laundry room Cons: The first time I flushed the toilet in the basement it caused flooding from backed up sewage. Within the first 3 weeks of living here we have had 3 separate flooding incidents with raw sewage each time. This latest flood damaged many of our belongings and we now don’t feel comfortable using the basement. None of the kitchen appliances worked for the first few weeks we were here and overall the apartment was not ready when we moved in. Our 1 year old daughter is now sleeping in a windowless room with bleach and sewage fumes coming through the vents for the 2nd time in 2 weeks. Advice to landlord: Freestone property group should invest in better property management practices before they continue buying up new properties — they didn’t even inspect this property which they paid $1.5m for which was evident from basic things like appliances not turning on, a single toilet flush causing sewage leak, no locks for windows etc.

★★★★★Aug 2022

Pros: amount of space Cons: no closets/thin walls/impossible to keep heated, trash cans are right outside your only window.

★★★★Jun 2022

Pros: Loved the deep bath tubs, large windows and open balcony Cons: Loud neighbors and street, not a lot of things in the neighborhood aside from House Party & the church's antique selection Advice to landlord: Not much here

Unit 2 Pros: Only 2 units in the property Very Spacious Close proximity to J/M trains at Kosciouzko, Central, and Knickerbocker Cons: Appliances were not level, dishwasher wasn't fully put in Maintaining heat was difficult Street gets very loud next to mechanic shop as well as cars flying down the street with modified exhausts Top floor unit gets really hot in summers

★★★★★Jul 2021

Pros: The location is great Cons: The thinnest walls ever, you will hear the doors open and close every time. I don’t think the walls are properly Insulated so be prepared to run heat constantly in winter Advice to landlord: Update the building

★★★★★May 2021

Pros: My home for 3 years Cons: Increase in rent during a pandemic Advice to landlord: Keep the building clean and stop the rent hikes which are both unethical and diabolical during a pandemic

312 MENAHAN STREET · Brooklyn
★★★★Apr 2021

Pros: Updated building with amenities. Good amount of space. Great view from the roof. Back units have balconies. Cons: Management was a bit slow getting back about fixing things, but so outrageous to stop you from living there. The backyard is shared across 3 separate buildings so if someone was having a party that could get noisy.
