TJ MONTANA ENTERPRISE · avg 2.9 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: My neighbors were really nice and that’s about it Cons: I lived here pre Covid. I had a mouse infestation. I could hear them and see them at all times of day, at one point I saw five at one time. There were droppings everywhere, it felt very unsanitary and unsafe. The building was in horrible condition, my walls were soft, there was definitely mold present. Living there was a nightmare”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: There was a general maintenance line that you could call and they were pretty responsive, maintenance team was nice. Cons: Not very clean lobby, apartment was pretty run down, and they were pretty dismissive when it came to larger problems. Advice to landlord: Gut reno these apartments and they'll be worth a lot more”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good location in the east village Cons: Apartments were not in move-in ready condition in addition to being tiny”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The apt overlooks the historic cemetery on E 2nd St which is beautiful and very quiet Cons: Pretty low standard of maintenance Advice to landlord: A little maintenance can go a long way”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I’ve been here for a while and have not had any major issues. I’m in a rear-facing unit and the noise levels are extremely low, a very pleasant surprise given the area. Lovely neighbors. I’ve had no problems with the management but have also been quite persistent and have pestered until things have gotten done. Hasn’t been too difficult and no major apartment problems have gone more than a couple days without being rectified. There are some small things they haven’t repaired but nothing that really detracts from quality of life here. Cons: Common areas of the apartment are not optimal. The main entrance door has been faulty and remains unfixed, and garbage is not well managed. Outdoor backyard, which is regularly used as a selling point, is in very poor shape and goes unused. When I have used it I have been told to leave by a … unique … first floor tenant.”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: There are no pros - counting down the weeks til our lease ends. Cons: Management company are impossible to deal with. There have been so many problems both in the apartment and in the general building that have been given a quick fix or completely ignored. There are no cameras in the building, the hallways are filthy, the mailboxes are banged up, there are still Christmas trees in the backyard to be thrown out, the front door doesn't close behind you when you leave the building, yet when you enter the code to enter building you need to literally throw your full body weight at the door to get it open. Do not deal with Misrahi / Brownstone management company or Ray the "leasing agent". Advice to landlord: Reply to emails”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The neighbors are nice and it’s obviously in a great location. Cons: Management is nonexistent and neglectful. Nothing is ever truly “fixed”, basically just a bandaid slapped on as a repair. Property manager is extremely unprofessional and rude. This company is all over the place, no one knows what’s going on and the building is in poor shape. The rent is such a rip off for what you actually get: a tiny 1 bedroom with a closet sized kitchen and a bathroom that hasn’t been renovated since it was built. This building has already lost lawsuits due to neglect, avoid!!! Advice to landlord: Treat tenants as human beings and stop being so greedy. Fix your building up! It’s a dump. Don’t bully people into signing riders that alleviate you from legal liability.”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Beautiful area , lovely neighbors Cons: Rent was toooo high. Advice to landlord: Save save save”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Convenient Location in Manhattan Cons: bathroom toilet leaks, super small kitchen sink witch leaks. No smoke detector. Advice to landlord: Fix the old pipes”
— 82 EAST 3 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Building Location. Nothing else. Cons: Everything else. They were terrible Advice to landlord: If the building floods and it forces everyone out of the building And thousands of dollars in damage, you should offer more than $300”
