“Pros: Struggling to find something good aside from it meets basic needs. Cons: Whole building is slanted, so windows won’t properly shut, water in the shower won’t properly drain. You can hear everything through the thin walls/ceiling/floor. No doorbell/buzzer. Walk-up. No laundry. No dishwasher. Roof access door blew off and it rained and snowed in our building for weeks. Front door window smashed. Shootings out front of building. Constantly dirty. Owner is a packrat who leaves all his junk in the hallway. Claims nothing is ever his fault, and plays the victim as an old man. I fixed up the apartment with new counter, backsplash, light fixtures - didn’t give me back remaining $1000 of my security deposit citing he was having a hard time due to COVID and the government letting people not pay rent had him all jammed up, and people moved out. NOT MY PROBLEM. I PAID. PEOPLE MOVED OUT BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING I JUST LISTED. Advice to landlord: Guzman - grow up. Quit playing the victim card. GET A RESPONSIBLE BUILDING MANAGER!”
