THE TRUSTEES OF COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY · avg 4.4 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Everything is managed through Columbia and it's pretty close to the medical campus. Cons: Sometimes one of the elevators stops working and all the dryers are in the basement, which can be annoying if that elevator is broken.”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Management is pretty responsive Cons: 1/2 Elevators taken offline for 2 weeks in a 31-story apt”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Great views of the river and GWB; no pest problems; received the apartment very clean and repaired; maintenance requests were handled promptly Cons: University housing, not open to others; constant noise from the highway”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Safe, no bugs, big apartments Cons: Noise off Henry hudson parkway”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Loved everything about the building Cons: Only for Columbia affiliates”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Attentive staff, two elevators Cons: Noise from the freeway! Lack of permanent doorman tower 3”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Spacious, great Hudson views Cons: Not the best management”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: No pests whatsoever in the two years I lived here. Heat and AC always decently strong. Service requests done promptly (~24 hr response time). Friendly front desk folks. Absolutely gorgeous views especially if you face the bridge and Hudson river. Student Health is just downstairs. Cons: Excessive drafts, dust, and highway noise due to poorly insulated, single pane windows--which also meant poor ambient noise in all rooms (I measure between 45-50 dB at night and 55+ dB during the day). Get some noise cancelling headphones or white noise machine if you're bothered by noise (I do). Any wind would cause the windows to bang against the frames. Shower would randomly lose pressure and stay that way for hours on end. Elevators have started breaking down randomly leading to long lines to go up. Advice to landlord: Redo the windows so it matches the clinic downstairs.”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Unit 25E Pros: It was really well maintained, older but still very clean, nice, and comfortable. Cons: The windows could probably be updated at some point in the future, and at the higher floors the wind rattled them quite a bit. Also the screens to open windows are self placed and this is terrifying beyond 10 stories and over a major traffic area. Advice to landlord: Screens would be nice or something similar but honestly all around great, no doubt the best student housing in the city”
— 100 HAVEN AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice doormen, great sized bedrooms, gorgeous views. Sometimes random stuff doesn’t work Cons: It snowed in my room through window cracks. Housing is not the most responsive…prob understaffed and underpaid”
