THE TOY FACTORY LOFTS · avg 4.7 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Neighbors were kind and welcoming, pest control came often, felt safe, great location Cons: Gym was dirty and I lived near the garbage shoot so a cockroach came into my apartment from there once. The windows had horrible heat retention. My utility bills were always high and I was still cold in the winter. The unit I was in had a owner from hell who harassed me and would not fix my hot water in the winter.”
— 176 JOHNSON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Building is well-maintained in general, neighbors are generally nice and keep to themselves, quiet inside the units, loved the lofts, new rooftop. Cons: Since it's a condo building, renters seem to be treated/regarded as second-class occupants. Downtown Brooklyn isn't really a neighborhood, per se. You're surrounded by beautiful neighborhoods - DUMBO, Fort Greene, Boerum Hill - but that area of Downtown Brooklyn isn't the best. Advice to landlord: We loved the owner of our unit - very kind person. We rarely dealt with the condo board, but they seemed a bit unpleasant.”
— 176 JOHNSON STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Loft style, elevator, large apartments, great super, near Starbucks Cons: Across from police station, loitering, busy road Advice to landlord: N/A - all good here!”
