“Unit 3E Pros: If you're looking for the perfect neighborhood uptown, this is it. Less than 5 minutes walking distance from the Q train. Less than 7 7-minute walk to the 6 train. Near some of the yummiest cafes, restaurants, and bakeries. Here are my pros: -Small apartment, but it's perfect for one person. -New Appliances in the kitchen. -Super is helpful and very kind. -The back of the building is very quiet. -A couple of neighbors have been in the building for a while, which I like. Cons: -The management company can be rude and will not take feedback on making the building feel like a safer environment. -Rent is constantly being raised by at least $200. -Can hear the footsteps of upstairs neighbors.”

“Pros: Building was solid overall, the super was very nice and responsive Cons: The heaters make a clanking noise at night, but this is common in NYC. No major complaints with this building as it's a standard, solid spot for folks looking in this price range. Nice location given Trader Joes, Whole Foods, and Morton Williams are alll nearby.”

“Pros: Very clean for a Chelsea building. You will not find a better super in NYC. Cons: Paper-thin floors/ceilings. You can hear everything your upstairs, downstairs neighbors are doing.”

“Pros: Clean apartments. Only had like 5 bugs creep in over 2 years. Excellent supervisors! Cons: Laundry isn’t the best, the machines constantly break or don’t completely dry clothes. Landlord is not very responsive. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive to your tenants!”

“Pros: I live in a large, spacious studio with good sunlight and lots of closet space. Apartment itself was clean, well-maintained with good craftmanship before I moved in. Amenities: dishwasher. Super is responsive and fixes things quickly when there are concerns. Price is also very good for the space. Cons: No laundry in building, walkup. They only remember to vacuum the carpeted hallways 1-2x/month instead of weekly as they should. A neighbor who smokes pot daily despite building warnings. However, the BIGGEST con is that this building has roaches. There are dead ones in the lobby frequently. Have discovered live and dead ones in my apt about once every 2-3 months, so disgusting. Have used the building exterminator but I think they live in the drains :( Advice to landlord: Please spray & have more consistent pest control & get rid of the roach problem!!!”

“Pros: Good location, reasonably priced for the area. Super is a great guy and very responsive. Cons: You can hear the upstairs neighbors very easily when they are home”

“Pros: There’s a dishwasher. That’s pretty much it. Cons: There are more roaches than people living in this building. There is an entire family of mice hanging out in the garbage area. Every week, there seems to be a new big daddy roach laying face up on the hallway stairs that doesn’t get cleaned for days or weeks. Management and the super are unhelpful and rude. Packages get stolen regularly. Unless you want to live in an overpriced and poorly maintained roach sanctuary, I strongly recommend finding another place to live. There are much better options for the same price elsewhere in nyc. Advice to landlord: Clean up the roaches and make your super do his job”

“Pros: Good neighborhood and area Cons: We had like 10 roaches in our unit and saw a bunch of dead ones in the staircase throughout our lease. We also saw mice and I couldn’t wait to move out.”

“Pros: The super in this building is so amazing. He is attentive, responsive and kind. Well-maintained building with very few issues (if any, they are quickly resolved). Great water pressure. Laundry in building in the basement, AC in unit, virtual doorman. Cons: Had a couple pest (cockroach) issues over the summer but the Super quickly managed and had an exterminator over ASAP. No issues since. No control over the heat but building usually has it at a reasonable temperature. Advice to landlord: Do whatever necessary to keep this super in the building!”

“Pros: Nothing at all Cons: There were mice living in the heating system, and cockroaches everywhere. The neighbors were noisy, and smoked inside the building. Nothing was ever updated, and the owners refused to fix things. Advice to landlord: Fix problems”

“Pros: After living here anywhere is an improvement. Cons: They never fix anything or respond to issues. The building has mice and cockroaches even exterminators cannot get rid of. The apartments are refurbished with second hand items, bathrooms have mould growing.”
