“Pros: Private back patio Cons: Rats, noise from neighbors, no light in apartment, cleanliness of shared patio space. Advice to landlord: Regulate the shared garbage area”
— 294 HARMAN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: You can live here but you shouldn’t. Cons: The worst building ever kept. Rats. Roaches. Mold. Unbelievably nasty and unreachable property management. Please save your self the trouble and do not move here. Advice to landlord: I suggest having a working phone to answer tenants needs and questions. I also suggest having someone come and clean up the trash because the courtyard is not a junkyard. I also suggest just quitting you job because you are terrible at it and probably a terrible person.”
— 294 HARMAN STREET · Brooklyn“Unit 1RR Pros: Stove works, hot water works Cons: Roach infestation, rodent infestation, mold, overwhelming trash in common area courtyard, dirty and dark hallways, suspicious smells in unit, horrible responsiveness from property owner, no closets, overheated and humid units, disrespectful and messy neighbors who use hallways as storage, poor access and security measures to building.”
— 294 HARMAN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Near the subway Cons: Cramped and small Advice to landlord: Heat issues in the apt”
— 290 HARMAN STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: I love the convenience of this location, very close to the M and L trains. The building itself hold promise and I moved in based on that my unit has a very small outdoor patio. Cons: The neighbors use a small courtyard between the front and back buildings to store all kinds of crap including a boat???This area could be lovely and there are children that play in the courtyard among the trash which is just really depressing. Strollers are also allowed to clutter the hallway that we need to pass through with bicycles. The Superintendent doesn’t seem to do anything besides take out the trash as far as cleanliness upkeep or tenant management. The trash area has a constant pile of unwanted items that just never really completely diminishes though some items are taken out with the trash. The hallways have NEVER been swept and are absolutely filthy with dust dog hair and debris. It takes months of pestering to get any maintenance requests done and management is generally unresponsive. THERE IS A MAIL THEFT ISSUE that the management refuses to address despite having cameras (that likely don’t work) in the main entrance area where Mail is left. They won’t even put up a sign of warning. I hate this building and I’m paying too much. Advice to landlord: Get your superintendent to talk to the tenants storing junk in the courtyard. Put up signage threatening the pursue legal action against mail theft. Act like you give a shit? Offer a contact lift for your tenants for various issues. I have no idea who my super even is.”
