“Pros: We love that the price is very reasonable for the amenities that we get - the elevator, in unit laundry, and spacious bedroom. Trash-shoot on each floor makes it easy to take out trash. Elevator has never been broken. There’s been almost no pest problems. Super is usually very responsive and keeps the building clean. Love that neighbors have been here for years & not a lot of noise from them. Neighborhood is great - multiple grocery stores, close to the 1 train, close to the parks, quite an ideal location! Cons: There is construction going on the street facing this building - relatively quiet, but it can sometimes get noisy during the day. Super is very strict about recycling.”
— 226 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Elevator. Dishwasher in most units. Washer dryer in every unit. Great super. Quiet and friendly building. Good for families. Not for young college partiers. Cons: Antiquated system for rent and lease management. Management is fair but seems overloaded sometimes with communication. Getting packages is sometimes a problem. Advice to landlord: Upgrade rent payment and document to make it easier. Keep making it fun and easy to live here.”
— 226 WEST 108 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: I live on the second floor, I have had two inconveniences with my bathroom but once informed to management, they repaired it immediately. The building is strategically located, has very good transportation options such as B/Q trains in Newkirk Plaza, buses B8 and B49 and express lines for Manhattan as BM1, BM3 and BM4. The landlord is located in the same building and can be accessed quickly in case of any incident or for payment. They're very friendly. Cons: Lately, we've had incidents with people who have been stealing packages from the mail room. Advice to landlord: Change the security cameras to have a security guarantee inside the building, put cameras at home floor since when the packages are stolen, Thieves are leaving the boxes open in the hallways.”
