“Pros: Great location - to the park and transportation Cons: Management hid roach infestation present in the unit. Generally the super does not respond and you are on your own. Persistent heat lack of heat in the winter. Raised rent by $2000 at renewal.”

“Pros: Nice neighborhood and neighbors Cons: The super is really bad, not responsive at all. Bad maintenance of the building, no proper heating during the winter, everything is really cheap. Not subject to good cause eviction law, increases our rent by 18%!”

“Pros: Location, neighbors are lovely, good apartment layout Cons: Management doesn't care - will raise the rent $800-1000 every lease renewal, laid off staff, cheap repairs if at all and major pest problem. Newly hired doorman lazy and incompetent. Elevators often broken down. The city is also adding bus lanes which will make pulling up to building a nightmare. Loud traffic across 96th St if you live in front of the building. Advice to landlord: Actually make proper repairs, control the pest problem and make staff actually do their jobs.”

“Pros: Nice people, great neighborhood, very clean Cons: Construction next door and noisy street but the construction is almost done”

“Pros: Rooms are large and 2 very good conscientious doorman. Poor judge of character the landlord is and hires mentally ill doormen and fires them within 6 months Cons: No repair men. Super incapable of doing handyman work. The Landlord is an indignant nasty human being. Hangs up when you call and always says write a letter, which they totally ignore. Advice to landlord: Become a Mench as they say in Yiddish and hire decent doormen and treat your tenants like human beings not like trash. Hire a capable super who can do his job.”
