“Unit 2A Pros: - The building is very clean and the apartments are beautiful, lots of exposed brick and wood cabinetry, good storage space in the basement and in the apartment - 2 washers and 2 dryers for the building (16 units) which was almost always sufficient. - Neighbors keep to themselves, not particularly friendly - Building is relatively soundproof, I've never heard my neighbors above me or next to me - I never saw a single mouse while living there. Cons: - Apartments are definitely small compared to others in the area for the same price - Lots of barking dogs (there are four that are constantly, constantly barking all day) - Laundry is coin-operated only and the quarter machine next to it rejects 90% of any bill you try to insert. $3 for a wash, $3 for a dry. I did not have any serious issues while living there but when I asked about minor things, landlord would say "I'll look into it" but never actually get back to me.”
— 598 6 STREET · Brooklyn“Pros: Quiet building. Most of the tenants seem to have lived here for a long time. Garbage is taken out quickly. Property manager is responsive. Things get fixed quickly after we ask. Cons: Shared laundry needs to be improved. Laundry machines smell musty and the coin machine has taken a lot of money from me. The rent increase was high after our first year. Advice to landlord: Improve the laundry situation and don't raise rent on loyal good tenants.”
