QUEENS WEST DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION · avg 3.9 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: No bugs. Very friendly staff. Safe. Fast maintenance. Neighbors are quiet. Good amenities Cons: Very loud from being on center blvd, during the summer the street in front of the building is like a carnival with people partying in the park until 2am.”
— 2-01 50 AVENUE · Queens“Pros: maintenance and staff are all responsive and helpful, no real issues within apartment Cons: lots of children so can be noisy”
— 2-01 50 AVENUE · Queens“Pros: Nice building. Love the neighborhood. Cons: Kind of expensive. Advice to landlord: Lower the rent ;)”
— 2-01 50 AVENUE · Queens“Pros: Building maintenance and concierge polite and helpful Cons: Marijuana smoke in hallways and coming through vents Rental office not helpful in negotiating lease terms and rent High rent increases Playroom closed way too long during pandemic while being charged full amenity fees Advice to landlord: See above cons”
“Pros: Amazon locker, package management, front desk staff, latch (keyless) access to apartments, views are awesome. Never saw a bug or rodent in my unit. Cons: 4 elevators in building (1 freight), they end up out of service a lot and we had significant lines during high use hours. Parking garage doors also had maintenance issues very often. Units could use some updates for the amount the charge. Advice to landlord: Make sure things like elevators and garage doors aren't out of service often”
— 2-01 50 AVENUE · Queens“Pros: Location by the waterfront Cons: Unresponsive management, apartments are not as advertised and in abhorrent condition; you’re paying for a secure community, but anyone can walk in at any time of day. AC units are moldy; appliances are old and unsafe to use, posing a hazard the safety of residents. The list goes on and on, and the management couldn’t care less. Advice to landlord: Adjust your approach to the basic needs of tenants; otherwise, residents will keep leaving.”
— 2-01 50 AVENUE · Queens“Pros: Location on waterfront Cons: All a bait and switch. Appears nice but it’s not. Apartment shares wall with trash room so parts of my apartment smell like trash - mgmt acknowledge this but can’t fix. They consider it a mild odor. Not sure who would choose to pay 5K plus in rent to live with a “mild” trash smell. Plus they want to raise my rent? Ants in apartment Horrible property managers Elevators often out of service. Many times only 1 in service in middle of Covid. Any other building in LIC is better value. Rent is egregious and they raise it each yet by tons of $. Advice to landlord: Invest in your building and invest in better property managers. Stop pretending like this is a new grade A building.”
