“Pros: The management company was friendly. It was a new renovation and some tastefully. The bathroom was especially nice. Cons: The hallway is nice white marble but they didn’t not keep it very clean. Advice to landlord: Maintain the common spaces better.”
— 223 BUSHWICK AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Very cheap rent before pandemic Cons: Leaks, bugs, building is falling apart, party goers pass out in hallway without their clothes on, stolen packages, poor responsiveness from landlord”
— 223 BUSHWICK AVENUE · Brooklyn“Unit 19 Pros: Beautiful rooftop view of the city. Decent size apartment for what we’re paying. Very close to the train. Great neighborhood and kind neighbors. Cons: We got a pandemic deal on rent, but the owner has been aggressively trying to get us to move out so he can raise rent again. Also the place was overrun by cockroaches when we moved in, the ceiling leaks when it rains (and we’re not even on the top floor of the building) and the toilet broke and it took two weeks for someone to fix it. Both sinks leaked and I had to do some amateur plumbing. Don’t live here unless you know how to fix things. Advice to landlord: Invest in actually fixing the place, seal the crack between the walls and the floor so pests don’t get in, don’t overcharge people who live here (it’s not worth that much!)”
“Unit 24 Pros: good location and close to the train Cons: the worst landlord ever - forged numbers on my check and charged me twice for rent. continued to harass me after move out. had a gas leak during my time there and management refused to address anything. soooo many building code issues. Advice to landlord: do better”

— 223 BUSHWICK AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: The location is fantastic and so is the natural light. The roof is also nice to go on and the super is very nice (not always super responsive). The price is also super cheap compared to others in the neighborhood. Cons: Getting any “major” repairs (ie I had a leaking ceiling that needed to be patched) done takes forever, the landlord never answers the phone, one time we didn’t have gas for 2 months (I did get reduced rent), and the heating is usually SUPER hot. Advice to landlord: Answer your phone and listen to your tenants, more responsive super”
— 223 BUSHWICK AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: I really love my apartment, the location & the natural light in it is great. At the time (2 years ago - pre covid) the price was really good as well. Now it’s a little overpriced but that’s okay. Cons: The management is completely unresponsive. I’ll call my super with an issue (ceiling was peeling from excessive water in the roof, garbage smell coming from baseboards which I think was a dead rat) and he’ll act like we’re gossiping on the phone. Saying ‘oh that’s really weird? You should call the landlord.’ Meanwhile I’ve never once met the landlord, do not know his name, it took me a year to even get his phone number from someone. They are completely unresponsive and never answer the phone when you first call, which is fine, but they also never call back about voicemails. The only time they’ve ever contacted me was when I was saying I needed lower rent or I was moving (which they did - which was why I stayed another year but still they suck.) Some of the worst management I’ve ever dealt with, and the super lives in the basement! The landing to the roof is constantly covered in garbage and all the floors have old furniture from people who moved out and never brought them to the street and the stuff sits there for months. I don’t think the super makes his way past the first floor. Advice to landlord: Hire a new super, answer your phone, clean your buildings.”
