“Pros: Great location right by the park. It has an elevator which helps if one lives on higher floors. It is loud in the rooms by the street. But rooms in the back of the building or in the center of the apartment are completely silent. Cons: Heating during spring and fall is terrible. Instead of running the heating like in the winter to ensure a warm apartment they barely heat. The apartment is colder in fall and spring than in the winter. Water pressure in the shower is low and it takes a long time for the water to get hot.”

“Pros: Appreciated the classic pre-war building and can't beat the location. Units looking out on the park have a great view. Cons: At times noisy and the shared laundry situation in the basement was a bit dingy but might have been cleaned up more recently.”

“Unit 2D Pros: Well maintained building, super and mgmt company is responsive, affordable by the park Cons: the floors of the apt are too old and creaky, lots of things breaking.”

“Pros: Great views, elevator (when it works), layout/living room space Cons: Everything else. EXTREMELY unresponsive landlord, elevator always broken, heat management was awful, plumbing and water pressure and temperature control was terrible, bedroom window never shut, etc. Let me paint a picture for you of what it is like living here with one example: A woman broke in and went into the basement, broke some glass and cut herself leaving blood all over the elevator buttons. The dried blood was left all over the buttons for WEEKS. Advice to landlord: I have zero advice. Get out of the landlord business, you suck at it.”

“Pros: The proximity to the park and several subway lines Cons: The building is constantly infested with roaches. In the winter time for the past seven years the heater suddenly breaks and it takes months to fix. The apartment upstairs was leaking and my ceiling came down and it took them three months to repair it. Meanwhile, mold was growing all over my walls and ceiling. Management is never in a rush to do anything and the building super is completely useless because he always has an excuse as to why he can’t fix something”

“Pros: Proximity to the train and bus station. Also, this building has an elevator Cons: It’s a few doors down from a homeless shelter and the occupants of that building make living here less enjoyable. Pest problem! Both bed bugs and roaches are a problem here Advice to landlord: Clean all apartments and do routine maintenance around the building”
