“Pros: Clean most of time & quiet Cons: People literally just congregate everywhere when you’re trying to walk in and out of the building and nobody takes the recycling. Seriously”

“Pros: Rent stabilized Friendly people Large units available Cons: Loud - between people in the streets and in the stairwells and lobby it’s always loud Maintenance sucks People smoke in the stair wells”

“Pros: Staying inside my apartment. Cons: The loud neighbors, the hanging out all night in front of building doing illegal activities, the garbage piles up badly on weekends, mice Problem and little roaches or water bugs. Advice to landlord: Needs to get a new super”

“Pros: The neighbors are friendly and the proximity to the train and the park are great. Love being close to King’s Theater - neighborhood is gentrifying but I hope it remains a strong Caribbean neighborhood. Apt is really a nice size and has decent storage. Cons: The roaches and mice and garbage. We have an exterminator come twice a month and it’s totally useless. Our apartment doesn’t have great daylight bc it’s interior facing. Advice to landlord: Do something about the pests in the apartments. The baseboards need to be closed up. It’s a real issue.”

“Pros: Large apartments! The one bedroom I occupied has an incredible amount of room. Cons: Massive leak that went unfixed for 6 months above the shower. Was told it was due to an inattentive building manager that has since left, but our conversation was held with the other building manager who is still here, with constant photo and video updates. Insanely loud upstairs apartment that was asked several times to quiet down by me personally and the super and is still constantly heard slamming around upstairs. Advice to landlord: Clearer communication is key, and a tenant should not have to chase you down and wait around all day to speak about issues that pose major hazard to the tenant!”
