“Pros: Near the train station Okay rent Cons: Pest, broken elevators, leaking throughout the building causing water damage Advice to landlord: Decrease the rent if building is not properly maintained”
— 40 W MOSHOLU PARKWAY S · Bronx“Pros: I grew up in this building a majority of my life. The porter has always kept it clean and I have never had a package stolen. Cons: Neighbors can be nosy at times and the heat in the apartments is hard to control, it can get very hot with no solution to the issue. Advice to landlord: Renovate radiators”
— 211 EAST 106 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 3 Pros: Tall Ceilings, Lots of windows, two fireplaces. Cons: Lack of privacy, walls are paper thin. Neighbors can hear your conversations word for word. The landlord shows up to collect rent every month but doesn't do any upkeep on the property. There's tons of spiders, centipedes, and many other bugs, but the landlord thinks it's the tenants issue to take care of. Not to mention the upkeep of the front area, cigarette butts all over. To get access to your fuse box you would have to go all the way down into the business, and into the basement. (Which they don't give you access to unless you're the business owner downstairs, so you have to call the landlord or business to get to your breaker.) The wiring is easily over 50yrs old, and the building is from 1882. It's falling apart. More times than not, have the brick pillar columns ontop fallen onto the roof damaging the 3rd floor tenants ceiling. The water pressure is sometimes non-existent because the salon gets priority. The laundry that's on site is exclusive only to the business even though it was included on their posting on Zillow. Advice to landlord: Take care of your property if you want it. If you don't, sell it. Seriously.”
“Unit 5M Pros: Great heat, great water pressure and it is very easy to make rent payments online. Located very close to a train and multiple buses Cons: The mice the mice, THE MICE!”
— 40 W MOSHOLU PARKWAY S · Bronx“Pros: It is close to major public transportation Cons: This place is mice infested and has been getting worse. They shut off the water frequently. Advice to landlord: Please take better care of the building.”
— 40 W MOSHOLU PARKWAY S · Bronx“Pros: Neighbors , parking, view, apartment size Cons: Garbage, main ten episodes, property manager Advice to landlord: None”
— 40 W MOSHOLU PARKWAY S · Bronx“Pros: People here tend to not move out. Cons: The tenants could treat their building with more respect.”
— 40 W MOSHOLU PARKWAY S · Bronx“Pros: Large Apartments with a View Cons: Tenants do a poor job or caring for the property Advice to landlord: More action on noise complaints”
— 40 W MOSHOLU PARKWAY S · Bronx“Pros: This building is home. I grew up here, and everyone knows each other. It is really a community. We have a tenants association that works as an advocate for the tenants. Everyone is friendly, and say good morning as you step into the elevator. It's a really safe building, and the maintenance workers are all friendly. I love this building. Cons: The water is the biggest issue in the building. Every couple of days that water goes out completely, or the water turns cold as you're in the shower. There's also a big roach, and mice problem in the building. Elevators are constantly going out, and sometimes you have to walk up 20+ flights to get to your apartment. Advice to landlord: Fix the basic necessities that everyone is entitled to. We shouldn't have to beg for our hot water to work.”
