“Pros: Super close to subway, spacious alcove studio with closets Cons: Noisy and a little dated Advice to landlord: Renovate kitchens”

“Pros: - convenient location - nice courtyard - cheap laundry Cons: - staircase door is extremely loud and the walls are thin, you know every single time the door is used as it slams shut - small number of washers and dryers - if you face towards the street, the sirens/street noise is very loud, if you face towards the courtyard, you hear louder conversations/laughter”

“Pros: The new renovations are nice and quick response to any issues (plumbing, pests, etc) Cons: Not enough laundry machines and pest problem during rushed renovations 2 summers ago (they’ve since tried to mitigate)”

“Pros: Close to everything Cons: Small bedrooms, one room open to kitchen. Advice to landlord: a 2 bedroom dorm instead of a 4 bedroom dorm would be better”

“Pros: Great location and tons of natural light. Walking distance to everything and pretty spacious. Cons: Mice in the courtyard, but never had any problems with pests in room.”

“Pros: Apparently one of the better dorms here. Rooms are clean, found no bugs or mice in my room. Cons: Locks are electronic (make sure your phone's charged on your way home!), found roaches or water bugs in the laundry room. They were taken care of quickly, but then came back a few weeks later.”

“Pros: Garbage chute is convenient Cons: A little loud since it’s next to Union square, many sawtooth grain beetles?? Found one roach once, never any rats though. Appliances like oven, under fridge, etc were kind of dirrty”

“Pros: good kitchen space, no pests, full AC/heat, right on Union Sq, good building initiatives, good trash disposal Cons: Bad shower / BR sink pressure, dirty bathroom upon move-in, only 1 bedroom w/ door, outside very noisy, cheap furniture/beds Advice to landlord: Repairs usually done within same day, don’t sleep on it. Bathrooms are hopelessly dirty. Buy a microwave.”
