NY STOCK EXCHANGE BLDG. CO. · avg 4.3 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Great staff, clean building, nice appliances Cons: Vertical noise from neighbors”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Staff are all very kind. Front desk workers all take time to learn everyone's names and apartment numbers. Any matinenance requests are taken care of within a day Cons: Location is not on a driveable street, which I wish they told you before moving in as I was not able to tour. Walls are also thin”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: 1. very nice people 2. doormen 3. safe street Cons: 1. package system is unorganized”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen, porters, and other staff are all super friendly and attentive. A lot of friendly neighbors (and dogs!). Overall loved the amenities, apartment, and area Cons: We had some issues with certain non-essential appliances that the management company took months to address. Also, management raised our rent while the market didn’t provide for that (ie similar units were being rented for hundreds of dollars less) and would not negotiate.”
“Pros: The location is incredible -- tons of subway lines (J 4 5 2 3 1...) within minutes, and whole foods is right behind the building. I've lived here for two years with no issues -- management responds to maintenance within a day (sometimes within a couple hours). The doormen are polite and I've never had package issues. The building is clean and well maintained! Rent is reasonably priced for the building and amenities. Cons: The area is a little touristy, given the stock exchange is next door.”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: - Amazing doormen + team in general - Handymen were very responsive to any requests - Close to all the major subways - Nice finishes Cons: - The light isn't great if you're on a lower floor - On a pedestrian street so you can never be dropped off at your front door if you're ubering, but never felt unsafe even at night”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Unit 2603 Pros: Building itself is well built, nice amenities like its gym and lounge. Cons: However the front desk people are some of the worse I’ve experienced. I understand that not everyday will be everyone’s best, nor do I expect it. But some at the front desk ones here are just rude every single time. There are two in particular that are rude as soon as you interact with them, talk with a serious condescending tone, and give guests in particular an especially hard time. I’m going to putting in several complaints to management, as the repetition is troubling and just unnecessary. Been taking note and I see it’s mostly against POC, and people who don’t seem to speak English well. Just an observation! Advice to landlord: I’d suggest training with staff for interacting with those who don’t speak English as well. Some of the attitudes a few of the front desk people exhibit during these interactions is just painfully overt.”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Unit 612 Pros: Very clean building, new appliances, kind 24/7 doormen, and good amenities Cons: A/C is old, noise (from other units), a bit expensive”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Doormen all nice, building / amenities / rooms all very modern and nice Cons: Room layouts can be weird / not great for the price.”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Unit 1612 Pros: doormen are very nice, porters answer building request quickly Cons: odd floorplans, lots of young college kids, smells like weed in halls, building makes you pay a mandatory amenity fee Advice to landlord: waive amenity fee for people who don't use them”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Super clean, newly renovated, doormen are helpful, amenities are beautiful. Kitchen, A/C, and heat are phenomenal. Cons: Doormen rude at times. Neighbors are pretentious. Sometimes hard to find space on the roof on a nice day. Advice to landlord: Keep doing what you’re doing”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good value for amenities and location Cons: No light in lower floor”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: It’s a nice building with a nice gym Cons: Bad location and management is incredibly difficult to work with, won’t let friends stay over, and will take over a month to respond to any requests”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Unit no Pros: Lots of amenities, tiny apartments, big rents, so so service. Very inconvenient. Cons: The location is horrendous. You cannot bring a car to anywhere close to the building without risking a ticket without leaving someone in the car and still watching out because they will ticket you even if in the car. You cannot get an Uber without walking either 2 blocks to Broadway or one long block to William Street. You may or may not be able to get an Uber to drop you off but they would have to go through security and most won't do it. The security people from the NYSE are very nasty and if you have to bring a car close to the building, you have to deal with them( but Never leave it alone) Advice to landlord: Should have demanded loading area in front of the building.”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Every doorman is nice, really convenience location. Cons: Lease renewal price is too expensive. Unit is tiny. Advice to landlord: n/a”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Unit no Pros: Its a luxury apartment building Cons: Managers will try to sleep with you, Lie, and threaten you. Nothing gets done. Showers do not drain. Laundry units have to be replaced constantly Management works in Trump Tower Advice to landlord: NO”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Unit 1608 Pros: Lobby team is great! Good access to subway stations Cons: Management can be a bit unresponsive but they eventually get around. Street is closed because of stock exchange right next door”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great rooftop, nice gym with pelotons, new appliances Cons: Neighbors not friendly. No building social events. Expensive rent and increase so need to move out Advice to landlord: Lower rent”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The amenities are fantastic Street is closed to cars = quiet State of the art appliances Friendly doormen Cons: Post-Covid price much more expensive Advice to landlord: Make units cheaper, you’ll get more tenancy”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Love the cobblestone street in front. Extremely clean, the lobby literally smells clean when you walk in. beautiful gym that is well maintained. Cons: rooftop isn’t great, not a lot of sun cuz of all the tall buildings around. also if you don’t like dogs, there are a ton — sometimes even pee in front of building”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great amenities - especially the gym. Cons: Management, water issues last year (legionella) Advice to landlord: Better communications”
— 20 BROAD STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building has great common facilities, especially the gym. The building staff are fantastic. Cons: The condition of the building has deteriorated a little bit but is still reasonably nice. Floors are not “luxury” - they scuff very easily and look terrible after a short time. There was an armed robbery in 2019 that remains unsolved (hence the need to scan a key fob to use the elevator). There have been issues with legionella and short term rentals in the building and management was not responsive to tenant concerns. The location is great but because it’s in a secured area you have to walk a bit to get an Uber or a cab.”
