“Unresponsive building management except when trying to raise rents to luxury levels with Motel 6 type service, staff and maintenance.

Building is in bad repair with substantial deferred maintenance including elevators [passenger is constantly breaking down], plumbing [leaks all over the building], electrical [hair dryers blow out the fuses], mechanical, windows [when it’s windy, it comes right through the closed windows] etc. Building was built in 1929 and basically has not been maintained properly for decades.

Area is OK, but with 3 restaurants on the block and its proximity to 3rd avenue, it’s very noisy at night, especially on Friday and Saturday nights when a night club attracts a crowd that hangs around on the street until 3 or 4 in the morning.
”
