“Pros: Nice family, pretty responsive Cons: won't make longlasting repairs Advice to landlord: x”
— 381 FLATBUSH AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Overall, it’s a good building to live in. The location is great, and the apartments I’ve seen are well-laid out. The landlord is generally quick to respond to questions and problems, and is understanding about little difficulties like a check getting lost in the mail. Monthly visits from an exterminator is included in the rent. The apartments are remarkably soundproof. I have more than once left my peacefully silent apartment only to discover while in the hall that a neighbor is playing a loud instrument, which I couldn’t hear at all inside of my apartment. Cons: The building is old, and not up to date. Appliances are old, and the fuse box is ancient. There is also a decent amount of noise that filters in from the outside. Having a bedroom that looks over Flatbush Avenue is never going to be a quiet experience. There has been some package theft.”

— 381 FLATBUSH AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Location is excellent, maintenance requests were handled promptly. Landlord opted to not renew our lease because they needed it for “family”. They promptly listed it on street easy for $500 more. Cons: No bike storage, no roof access, disingenuous owners Advice to landlord: Lie less”
— 381 FLATBUSH AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Near prospect park. Cons: Terrible management, just look at the 311 violations they’ve racked up. There was a homeless guy sleeping in the hallway that they did nothing about. Don’t move here!”
