“Pros: Building has only 5 units so it’s pretty quiet, the block as a whole also doesn’t have a lot of noise. The super keeps the lobby clean enough. While the landlord does take forever to respond to fixes, they did fully replace things that were broken. Pests weren’t a major problem— just a few roaches over the 3 years I was there. Also having a laundromat literally downstairs was a god send. Cons: Landlord takes such a long time to get things taken care of— had to send multiple texts to get anything done. Also was told I had to send a bank certified check for rent every month, so paid an extra $8 every time I made the check. Security was also an issue— there’s no cameras so even if a package got left inside the locked door, there wasn’t a guarantee it would be there when I got home from work. Advice to landlord: Be more responsive and timely with repairs/requests. Also add cameras to the front doors and lobby.”
