“Unit 3 Pros: Big rooms with big windows. Tall ceilings. Spacious kitchen. Separate living and dining. Right next to the park. Cons: Lots of flies and every winter mice problems. Small bathroom. Cabinets are breaking. Some windows are too old to open. Unresponsive owner. Super only does half his work”

— 320 MYRTLE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: Location, neighborhood, park Cons: -shootings at deli and they are open 24/7 -vermon infestation -repairs are incomplete -price of rent -loud streets during sleep hours -lots of crazy people hang around park -quality of repairs rating is 2/10 -landlord says things will be fixed but is passive about actually addressing repairs Advice to landlord: Prioritize safety and tenants”
— 320 MYRTLE AVENUE · Brooklyn“Pros: High ceiling and conveniently located Cons: Badly constructed. Walls are plastered so thick and crumbles everywhere. Frequent ceiling leaks in the bathroom and shoddily fixed. Floors are cheaply done and are cracking and have nails from underneath sticking out. Old refrigerator that won’t close well. Not a lot of power outlets inside. Two in the kitchen and none in the bathroom. Barely any storage space anywhere. Very noisy from the business on ground level that the store owner or the building owner wouldn’t do anything about. Access to garbage area is hard to get to since there’s a door to the basement the business uses that’s always open that blocks the way to garbage. A lot of drunk people at the main door at night urinating in the corner.”
