“Unit 10L3 Pros: -Rent Stabilized Apartment -Laundry in Building -Door man Cons: -Management/maintenance could be better Advice to landlord: Some parts of building need repairs”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good neighbors. Laundry amenities are great. Cons: Noise from the street, sirens in particular.”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good location. Close to everything. Laundry in building. Doorman (although no doorman service … ) in building. Rent is fairly cheap compared to other buildings in neighborhood. Cons: The closeness to next building on 69th is crazy. I don’t know how the zoning got approved. Because of this, the units facing 69th has no light coming in. This is why I moved out. Rest of the cons: this building has no noise control, you can hear neighbor practicing instruments (lots of musician in building) or having sex. Also the major issue of the building is management (single owner) is weird and he won’t help. Tenants are mix bag but lots of weirdos who lives in building 20+ years on rent stabilized rent. Advice to landlord: Please respond to tenants when they ask questions or raise concerns.”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Good location and friendly staff Cons: No electronic payment system or electronic maintenance request system”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Generally a quiet apartment. Nice, helpful doormen. Pretty clean property. Cheap rent for a great location. Cons: Occasional pest issues that generally get resolved quickly. Not very responsive building management. Advice to landlord: No real advice”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Paco (the super) is super responsive, quick and courteous. The doormen are the sweetest (Carlos especially), and make sure everything is approved by you and organized. Elevators always work, neighbors are quiet, cute pets in the building. Cons: Heat is always on and you cant control it from the room. Small kitchen (but not every room has the same layout). Advice to landlord: Lower the heat!”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: The building has been great for me the past 2 years! Wonderful doormen, responsive management, and a quiet area Cons: Not much I didn’t like! Only moving due to rent increases”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Huge apartments Friendly doormen Great location Very reasonable rent in comparison to similar apartments in the area Other than through the bathroom vents, you cannot hear your neighbors AT ALL! Very quiet building. Cons: You get what you pay for - not a fancy luxury building. Super and building manager are slow to respond. When work has been done in my apartment it often feels like they take shortcuts and the cheap route rather than fixing the problem properly. I’ve had about 6 cockroaches in my apartment over the last 3 months. I had to hound the super to get pest control to come.”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Friendly staff, great location, nice apartment layout Cons: Busy area, restaurant visitors in front”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great location, full service for a reasonable price Cons: Old building, can be refurbished”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Location is good, nice molding on the walls. Water pressure is good. Cons: Manager is rude and MIA, think his name is Matt. He will not return your security deposit. Advice to landlord: If you have a way to get your deposit back, let me know. We tried for 2 years and gave up. We left the apartment in great condition.”
— 200 WEST 70 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Friendly and helpful doormen and service folks around the building. Landlord is a bit MIA but has never been an issue. Cons: Building could use a make over Advice to landlord: Be more responsive over email”
