“Pros: Close to plenty of things to do, by the water and with decent rent. Cons: Not well maintained, the ceiling in the bathroom fell on our heads the first week in, the hood over the stove randomly fell off the wall, the fuse to the kitchen went out, the kitchen sink leaks, the garbage bins out front have been broken for MONTHS, and it takes them forever to fix anything. We’ve had to go so far as to contact the property management company to get any sort of response from the landlord to deal with our dysfunctional kitchen.”

“Pros: Great location, extremely quiet, especially for Hell's Kitchen, spacious units, choice of keys and app for door access Cons: Massive roach problem, which the landlord ignores (typically no response to service requests). I've had the super come in with keys with no notice in non-emergency situations, several plumbing and oven issues, and a broken front door. Anything fixed was out of pocket, as maintenance will not reply. Roaches were so bad and breeding in unit despite personally paying an exterminator that I ended up losing a lot of my stuff that couldn't be thoroughly sanitized (appliances, paper/cardboard/fabric materials) and quarantining my electronics. Nightmare. Advice to landlord: Sell your property to someone who cares about it”
