“Pros: Quiet location on the park. Landlord is responsive to issues Cons: There are occasional pest issues”
— 104 RIVERSIDE DRIVE · Manhattan“Pros: Common areas are maintained better than most buildings. Landlord is responsive to maintenance issues for the most part. Cons: Landlord only accepts checks for rent payments and you have to call the office for maintenance requests. They never email you; you’ll find out about things like water shut downs from a sign in the lobby. Your packages will get stolen. Neighbors don’t care and will let random people in the building. Also, you will hear everything your upstairs neighbors do, at all times of the day and night. Pest control is monthly, however if you’re not home on the third Saturday of the month and you don’t get your apartment treated, all of the massive cockroaches will come greet you personally the following Sunday morning!! Lovely.”

— 14 WEST 90 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great area and they keep the common areas clean. Landlord is responsive. Cons: Trash bins do not do anything for the rats. Roaches in the summer are really bad since there isn’t much lighting outside. It’s an old building in nyc, you’ll see bugs.”
— 59 WEST 69 STREET · Manhattan“Unit 4F Pros: Responsive landlord, and well maintained building. Units aren’t the most updated but they are clean. Occasional pest issues but never major, they were always taken care of and responded to promptly. Cons: I hate paying my rent via check. I understand the reasoning, sort of, but it’s inconvienient for sure. Also, you can hear a lot in the building, and will definitely hear your neighbors. They also don’t even email. All communication is done by flyer in the building. Advice to landlord: Update more units, have regular pest control in the lobby.”
— 59 WEST 69 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Responsive management Great light Spacious Cons: Walk up Older appliances”
— 14 WEST 90 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Rare elevator brownstone, Clean halls, trash area, steps. No pests. Cons: No laundry, dated kitchens & baths, New shelter for those experiencing homelessness opened one block away (was a former hotel) Advice to landlord: Hang in there during this tough rental season. Minimal investments in kitchen cabinets & stainless appliances could pay off”
