“The main point that I would like to get across about living at 2160 Matthews Ave is Renter Beware!!! My experience living there has been horrific and troublesome to say the least. First of all, there selling point of luxury apartments, from the outside looks fine, but once you get in, you already can see this is a building that they are building around old tenants, which I think is a big NO-NO! Why? Because it leads to the premise of a luxury apartment being a lie. First month there, my misery and hell on earth began. I suffered problems with bedbugs and problems with mice. The bedbug issue was dealt with by Goldfarb management sending an exterminator that sprayed some chemicals around and left. Issue was left unsettled as usual with any complaints or issues given to Goldfarb. I had to call in my own exterminator and pay over $800 to solve the issue that was created in this apartment before moving in. Also, it has to have been the biggest mice infestation that I have ever seen, and for the life of me, don't understand why I lived there for 2 years. They have an exterminator they have come in monthly to lay out traps, but nothing else. I pretty much was throwing out about 10 mouse traps a month my first year there and my next year, it became less because the mice became smarter. Leaving their feces all over our counters, floors and couch. It was a disgusting nightmare. I eventually had to call in my own exterminator, spending a good $1000 dollars for them to show me the sham that the apartment was and the many holes around the apartment. I eventually had to call the management company, which, trying to contact them is the hardest thing to do in the world. These guys must be former CIA espionage agents, because their elusive style is like no other. After putting in about 100 complaints a little patch job here and there was done, but they never solved the problem. After the horror that I have endured for all that time, I finally moved out last month. We put in our move out with the management company and expected the full amount of our Security Deposit and of course they only gave us back half. Why? Don't Know. We left the apartment in great shape except for the Mice problem that was there before we moved in. I even let the maintenance department keep some of the furniture that we were going to throw out and still got stiffed out of the money owed to us. Thank you Goldfarb for charging us for what you never fixed in the first place. I did not want to forget this, but everything around the apartment is built cheap and you will continually have to put in requests online for help that may or may never come. Be sure to screenshot your requests because they will delete them and pretend you never made the request. The promises and the marketing they pull off, they have to pay their employees well, or if not the CEO is making a killing the way they can just lie to the public. Good for you Goldfarb!!!”
