“Pros: The people!!! The people who work in the building are so nice and amazing Cons: It’s loud on third ave but I was on 4th floor Advice to landlord: No”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Large one beds, nice doormen Cons: Super is not so responsive, garbage outside building attacks rat and mice”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Clean, full-service, and negligent management Cons: Negligence of management Advice to landlord: Check out laundry room before you rent/buy”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: live-in super is very responsive and helpful, as are the doormen - i feel safe and comfortable in the building Cons: gross laundry room though machines usually do work. sports bar opened downstairs and has pounding music (audible through walls several floors up)”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Super and maintanence are responsive. Great doorman, central air so can control apartment temp, great location. Lived here for 2 years (moving now because my apartment doesn’t get light + want to move to less busy area) Cons: Roof is closed a lot, old/outdated appliances/hallways, mice &roaches in the basement which is where all the laundry machines are so it’s not pleasant doing laundry during mice hours”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Unit 17A Pros: Kind and responsive super and doormen, clean place, nice neighborhood Cons: Expensive, tiny, barely working laundry and roof is always closed”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: The apartments are large and have lots of light. The neighbors and doormen are the absolute best <3 Cons: If you want to live here, you should be able to outsource your laundry. The machines are in the worst condition ever--I honestly doubt my clothes are even getting clean. It is 1000 degrees in there and the fans just push the hot air around. There is standing water in the machines, literal LEAVES, dirt, mud, sludge. The floor is even worse, if any of my socks drop on the floor I want to throw them out immediately. Management knows about these issues and continues to do absolute nothing. Advice to landlord: Please fix the laundry rooms!! Why are we paying for a laundry room if they are the worst?!”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: 1. Friendly doormen 2. Tenants are mostly cool 3. Unit interiors are nice, on higher floors they have good views Cons: Management is beyond negligent to the point of unethical. In late 2019, a young man walked out of the building for work one morning and was crushed to death by the elevator due to managment negligence. NY state had to pass legislation as a direct result (look this up). Tenants were ghosted after the incident, it was a nightmare for the entire building; there was no justice for Sam. Management is all the same people and same negligent practices. Before I left, they were subjecting tenants to the loudest drilling you can possibly imagine for a year straight with no recourse (good luck working from home), also resulting in the full closure of the rooftop, the only ammenity in the building. They actively work to cut corners, increase prices, and ignore tenants for simple communication. It was almost impressive how elusive the building manager and the entire office was in coordination. Try contacting them yourself. They changed the name of the management company to hide the laundry list of other issues but any tenant who lived there through the past few years will never be able to forget. If at all possible under most any circumstance, AVOID THIS BUILDING. Advice to landlord: Read the above. Try treating your tenants with a little dignity.”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“This is a sample of how building’s manager Cathy Maharaj treat their current tenant, they are just screenshots from the video, do you feel safe and pleasant to live in the building that hire this kind of uncivilized, unprofessional and disrespectful manner? Don’t be shocked if she suddenly shows in front of your door verbally abuse you and threaten you with her middle finger, Is this manner represent a Class A building in this very unprofessional and degrading way? we consider this type of mannerism as act of harassment and insulting. I will reserve the full video for her next job, that is her best resume. (attached photos exhibits building manager Cathy Maharaj cursing to current tenant with her middle finger)”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Doorman and timely packages Cons: Sewage issues and death in building due to elevator”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Just wanted to go down the block to grab some hot Cheetos and when we got to the lobby guess what happens. I was crushed to death in the elevator, NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE ! Plus they never fixed the leak in my bathroom”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Pros: Centrally located building Cons: Tenant was crushed to death by building elevator during morning commute, traumatic experience Advice to landlord: Invest in your buildings - treat tenants like human beings”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“I will not recommend living here given how slow/absent the management is in responding to maintenance requests. The leasing office, especially Ana has no regard for how to treat people even if they are sick and down with Covid.”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Psychopathic and criminal "management" and "maintenance". Ana Stephens and Leo should be in jail. How is this building still running after killing a resident with their elevator? Building itself was constantly infested with roaches and rodents. That was the best part of the apt.”
— 344 3 AVENUE · Manhattan“Great place to live if you enjoy having a bunch of sociopathic pieces of crap as your building management. My husband and I lived here for 2 years and besides the issue of the maintenance staff never actually fixing anything, we had a MAJOR MOUSE PROBLEM. It's an extremely long story but here's the short version. We had mice chewing through all areas of our walls. There were droppings everywhere. I was 7 months pregnant. Management (specifically Cathy and Ana) said too bad so sad, we will send an exterminator in TWO WEEKS. Yup. We moved out for two weeks leaving traps everywhere. The exterminator came. Still mice. Management again said too bad so sad. It was our last month living there and they refused to give us our rent money back, even though we physically could not live there. There are a lot more garbage things they did and said to us in this story, but overall they treated us worse than anyone has in our entire lives. I'll never forget it. Live here at your own risk.”
