“Unit 23 Pros: Oleh (the super) is the best! He does a great job maintaining the building - he mops the hallways/stairs every Friday. I’ve only had one package stolen in the 2 years I’ve lived here. He is very responsive if you have any problems Trash issues are limited and mainly related to the homeless population in the area. Friendly neighbors - lot of young women and a few people that have been there for many years. The building is across from a school which is nice in the summer - less people around. Cons: I have only seen a handful of cockroaches over the two years. Pest control shows up the last Saturday of every month which is a bad time and I’m never home to let them in. It’s a little loud because of location - there’s a hospital nearby so you can sometimes hear sirens (most of the city has this issue anyway). There have been a few times where homeless people have been sitting on the stairs / shooting up nearby which is not great, but I do generally feel safe.”
— 348 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great location, responsive management, handy super. Cons: The street outside the building can be a little dirty but there is nothing the building can do about that. The heat in the winter could have been on a little stronger.”
— 348 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Solidly built walkup apartment building. Fixtures and appliances cheap but functional. Friendly super. Management reasonably responsive. Cons: Sometimes a little chilly in winter. Consistent homeless and garbage problem on street outside. No real amenities to speak of.”
— 348 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great sunlight in the apartment almost all day; the layout of the apartment is perfect for two as we can both be in the apartment but not on top of each other. The super was very responsive and always happy to help. Neighbors are generally nice. There's great subways nearby and access to many grocery stores. Cons: The trash and homeless situation on the street is not ideal, however that's a lot of the area. 14th St and 1st Ave can get a little rough. There are no amenities like laundry or central air. The heating was a little sketchy this winter, there was no control over temperature and sometimes it over blasted. Advice to landlord: Please be kind to Janet - she deserves to not live on 6th floor. Sergio is great- always very kind and helpful.”
— 348 EAST 15 STREET · Manhattan“Pros: Great location, attentive/responsive super Cons: System to buzz people in is inconvenient, you have to buzz them in twice unlike others buildings where you only have to do it once & it unlocks both doors”
