MAIDEN LANE PROPERTI · avg 3.5 ★★★★★ · New York City
“Pros: Friendly, clean and feels like home Cons: Nothing stands out except laundry is over priced Advice to landlord: Laundry”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Unit 1207 Pros: Excellent location (near multiple subway stations), friendly/responsive staff, standard suite of amenities (laundry, gym, elevator), generally well-maintained Cons: Interior could use some updating, laundry sometimes wouldn't work”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Amazing doormen, great little gym that’s free. Really responsive with maintenance requests! Never had an issue with cleanliness. Cons: Only cons would be often doormen leave late at night and not come back for a bit, laundry rooms get full easily and the roof deck is closed in the winter. The area itself isn’t amazing but the building is great.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Good area to Live in Cons: Building management is hard to get a hold of”
“Pros: Decent sized apartments and very conveniently located. A little more affordable with the concessions they give on the first lease term than most FiDi buildings Cons: Management takes its time to respond. They charge to open your door if you don't have keys. Maintenance can be a little all over the place, not very responsive and also not doing a great job - they "fix" things but not properly. No ammenities at all compared to most buildings in the area. Its a decent building for the city!”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: nice location. Close to seaport Cons: 3 ac leaks in 1 year. Floors had to be pulled up 3 times Advice to landlord: fix stuff”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Good location in FiDi - Clean common spaces, package room, roof top, three laundry rooms. Cons: Can hear garbage trucks all night along if your apartment faces Cedar Street Advice to landlord: Upgrade gym”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: For its price in FiDi, the rooms are pretty good. The front desk is very nice. I'm overall happy with my unit. Cons: The gym is really tiny and the maintenance are super slow Advice to landlord: Better maintenance staff”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Unit 2005 Pros: Doorman was great Cons: Management was bad to deal with in terms of fixing issues”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: There are no notable pros about living here maybe distance from seaport is the only positive thing to mention. Cons: - Persistent Roach issue - horrible management - Apartments are falling apart - response time to requests is very slow Advice to landlord: Sell the building to someone else”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Great view, decent sized apartment (650sqf), good location Cons: EXPENSIVE LAUNDRY and doorman actively don't pay attention”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: - Well maintained - trash taken out on a timely manner, common areas cleaned regularly, good response time for maintenance requests - Friendly doormen and front desk people - Quiet Cons: - Laundry was a little higher than what I’ve seen before. $4.75 for wash or dry”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: - Maintenance + front desk pretty helpful - No pests issues - Laundry room is clean Cons: - Management not very responsive - Gym is abysmal”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Offered great location, good value for money. Great, sweet and friendly front desk staff and cleaning staff. Cons: The Leasing manager might be the fakest, rudest manager I have ever met. She also hundred percent had some issue specifically dealing with people of color. I had a couple of close friends in the building and they agree with me. The Laundry is almost always full, costs 8 Dollars (!!!) per load. The sundeck isn't a real amenity, although nice to have, barely any sun as its on the 12th floor with taller surrounding buildings. The management was a pain to deal with. Advice to landlord: Please stop looting your residents and at least provide some decent services.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Accessible to many trains Cons: Bad AC units Advice to landlord: Renovate appliances”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Walls between neighbors are thick, i barely ever heard anyone. Doormen are also nice and package management is great. Cons: A few people complained about mold, including myself. Units would randomly get black splotches on the walls. I feel it would come up my drain. There’s also a lot of construction in the middle of the night, so reco buying a noise machine. The new high prices are not worth it for the quality when you have the other high rise options.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Solif building overall, flex wall up and had no complaints Cons: Slow elevators, bad maintenance response time”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Clean, quiet, close to subway Cons: Slow elevator, some outdated in unit items”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Living in fidi and close to the Train Cons: The building is very old inside . - The elevtors smell bad - The carpets in the hallway are always dirty - All the washers are dirty , the dryers hardle work . just send you stuff out for a wash and fold . Th machines are also more expensive than other buildings in the area which uses the same company and work better . - Mangment sucks , they are very unprofessional and just rude / condescending- she need to be fired . - The maintenance team is only there monday - friday 7am -3 pm . if anything happenes after theese tims you are screwed - The roof lacks ligthing and cant really be used much . - Catherine- also rude - There is somthing in the pipes or the water supply for the building so put a filter in everything Advice to landlord: Hire your mangment team and hire a new staff since no one has any idea as to what their job is .”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Unit 619 Pros: Free amenities such as the roof deck and gym. Friendly and easygoing building staff Cons: IT IS SO DARK IN THE APARTMENT. it doesn't help that the apartment is located on the 6th floor facing an alleyway but there is basically no overhead lighting in the apartment at all. Very depressing space in the wintertime.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Clean, no noise, good amenities Cons: Sometimes slow on responding to maintenance”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Clean, responsive management, and great units Cons: Sometimes the laundry wouldn't work but there are several laundry floors so it was never a big deal”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Spacious units at a lower price compared to other buildings in the area Cons: Elevators never work, poor garbage disposal, dirty hallways and common areas Advice to landlord: Work on the cleanlinesses of common areas”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Friendly front desk, good quality appliances in our unit, and it was a pretty quiet place for us in the city. We love it as our first apartment in NYC. Cons: The building is a little old, sometimes maintenance concerns can take a while to get fixed. Advice to landlord: Lower the rent!”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: people are normal street is quiet Cons: do not live here!! black mold everywhere- I was so sick all year from the mold. such a sketchy building its been 2 months and still haven't received my security deposit back.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Unit 1501 Pros: Its very convenient to the subway, tenants are mostly friendly and nice, as well as the porters and the doormen. I love living here, the view is great as well. Cons: Rent is high compared with the floorplan and the neighborhood. The leasing agent is very aggressive, racist and rude to tenants, many times would stare down tenants as well as I had a talk with several other tenants regarding her attitude towards many of us which isn’t friendly at all or comfortable to be in the building we live in. Relatively many possibilities to improve the building to become a top notch building in fidi, but management is trying to maximize profits and cut down costs. Advice to landlord: Invest in your building, tenants would be open to pay more if services and overall atmosphere is better, even though the rent is high, many tenants feel they are not getting proper value for their apartments compared with surrounding similar buildings.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: maintence is usually on top of things no rodents or bugs quiet building Cons: super is an ass and takes forever unless you annoy him Advice to landlord: have the super on call more often, 7-3 mon-fri isnt enough”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Unit 1405 Pros: Good FiDi location, relatively quiet neighbors Cons: Building decided to do construction in my unit on my move in day without telling me and then told me I was making too big a deal about it. It's also very dirty - the gym is old and rarely cleaned. The hallways aren't cleaned often. The refuse room is dirty. Advice to landlord: Clean up the building and if you make a mistake, take responsibility for it and make proper compensation.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Nice workers, elevator works, neighborhood is fun and can get quiet. Cons: The water pipes keep clogging. Advice to landlord: Update the piping. Update the gym or have someone clean it Get tighter security at the front desk”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Unit 725 Pros: Doormen, package notifications, rooftop, location Cons: Rooftop closed for half of our lease, random people coming into the building not vetted, tenants harassing other tenants and doormen, disrespect from proper manager and leasing office, half of the laundry units do not work, move in/out system disastrous, AC loud, elevators never work. Advice to landlord: If you want to charge the rent you do, you need to update the building. The website said there was a duplex lounge (which is now a gym). The AC never works in there. Doormen need to vet who is entering the building. I have felt unsafe many time due to a few tenants in the building during my lease. Be more kind to the people paying to live here.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: - Elevator - Responsive Concierge - Close to supermarket and transit - Helpful Trash Valet - Pretty spacious gym - Affordable Rent (in comparison to other apts nearby) Cons: - Concierge sometimes let a stranger followed me into the building and did not do anything.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Convenient but no frills Cons: Leaking ceiling for months Advice to landlord: I would avoid”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Quiet, big windows, gym and laundry in building, doorman Cons: Hot water came out brown, building management is tough to work with”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Good location. Great doormen Cons: Management is absolutely useless and rude. Whenever there is an issue they don’t only reply back to your emails with one word sentences or a message that doesn’t answer your request, but they turn all issues around on you so they have zero liability when in reality it is their responsibility. Can’t talk badly about them enough. Whenever I would ask to speak to upper management they were more useless than the last. Don’t recommend this building for this sole reason. Advice to landlord: Treat your tenants better.”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: Great location and roof Cons: The building management is useless, nothing ever gets fixed, other renters are constantly smoking inside, noise travels very easily from apartment to apartment, elevator constantly overpacked, slow and broken. Look elsewhere in fidi Advice to landlord: Actually make changes when promising”
— 100 MAIDEN LANE · Manhattan“Pros: On site staff / location Cons: Elevators out A LOT / AC loud Advice to landlord: Replace the outdated AC equipment”
